The Role
 

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for originating, managing, and closing M&A and tax insurance transactions. You will engage with various stakeholders, including lawyers, investment banks, and corporate clients, to develop relationships and deliver transaction insurance solutions. Your tasks will include reviewing and negotiating transaction documents, preparing discussion papers and proposals, and analyzing information to identify potential risks. The role requires a high-performing individual with M&A exposure, excellent organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal and communication abilities. 

Developing strong technical expertise in delivering bespoke transaction insurance solutions to existing and prospective clients. Engaging with clients through the legal, tax, investment banking and private equity community. Growing and maintaining strong relationships with all transaction risk insurers, M&A and tax advisors, including banks, law firms, accounting firms, investment funds and private equity firms, as well as professional/industry groups.  Raising awareness of transaction insurance solutions through education of and marketing to M&A and tax advisors. Driving innovation through understanding current and future client needs in the context of market dynamics – identify growth and product opportunities. Managing relationships with large and complex clients and delivering superior client service. Assisting with a wide range of tasks, including drafting requests for proposals and attending presentations/ “pitches” with potential clients. Liaising with both internal and external stakeholders including underwriters through to C-suite executives. Reading and interpreting contractual agreements. Taking ownership and accountability for development and execution of projects and relationships. Drafting, proof-reading and producing high quality reports for your team and external clients. Working collaboratively with other areas of the business. Leading Claims Advocacy as required. Ad-hoc administrative responsibilities as required. Managing costs efficiently.

The Requirements

3-4 years PQE with corporate law and tax experience in a law firm.Ability to analyse transaction documents and financial statements and discern and provide advice on related risks.Superior written and oral communication skills, and the ability to effectively and confidently communicate. Attention to detail and quality focused.Ability to work autonomously as well as in teams when required.
