Job Description
Traveloka is looking for a highly motivated team player looking to make an impact in a dynamic, fast-paced environment to join our Tax team as Senior Associate Tax Manager.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape our tax processes, learn from experienced professionals, and grow your career while working with the team on exciting initiatives that are transforming the industry. This role will play a key part in managing compliance with tax laws and regulations, supporting tax reporting, contributing to tax planning initiatives, analyzing evolving tax legislation, and streamlining tax processes. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure efficiency and alignment in all tax-related matters.
Job Responsibilities
Oversee the preparation and timely filing of all tax returns (e.g., income tax, indirect taxes, withholding taxes, etc.).
Support the month-end close process by addressing taxation-related matters.
Prepare quarterly and annual tax provisions, along with tax reporting packages, to meet group consolidation requirements.
Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of tax filings, including supporting schedules and reports.
Assist with tax audits and responses to inquiries from tax authorities.
Support tax analysis on business initiatives by researching tax laws, assessing their impact on operations, and identifying solutions to ensure compliance and optimize tax efficiency.
Address tax-related queries and resolve issues raised by internal stakeholders.
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, analysing tax law developments and identifying impact to Traveloka.
Contribute to the enhancement of tax processes and systems, identify opportunities for simplification, standardization, and automation of tax workflows.
Collaborate with both tax and internal/external stakeholders to ensure compliance and resolve issues efficiently.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications
Degree in Accounting, Finance, Law or relevant related discipline.
5+ years of tax experience working in large multinational corporations and either legal or public accounting firms.
Experience with Singapore/APAC tax laws, regulations, and compliance procedures.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate tax issues effectively.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of accounting principles, concepts and entries.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with or within a multinational technology business.
CA (Chartered Accountant) or equivalent.
Experience with tax technology, automation and transformation tools.
