HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
\nYour role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.
\nWhat your day-to-day will be like:
\n\nWork with Hilton cross-functional teams to understand property management systems (PMS) business requirements and develop technical solutions that meet those requirements.\nWork closely with the vendor team to translate the technical solutions into system functions and features.\nIdentify the gaps between requirements and implemented solutions and mitigate them with other stakeholders.\nEnsure every sprint item is properly developed, tested & released to production.\nProvide technical leadership to the vendor team, mentor junior analysts, review implemented features, and ensure that best practices are followed. \nKeep up to date with emerging trends and technologies in software development and identify opportunities to incorporate new tools and techniques into our development process.\n\nHow you will collaborate with others:
\n\nBe an engaged member of a Software Engineering team working closely with business team members daily and identify their needs and document effectively.\nWork with external vendors to deliver enhancements and fixes on the PMS system in a timely manner.\nUse a customer-centric approach, with the ability to influence, create, and manage business and technology processes.\n\nWhat projects you will take ownership of:
\n\n\nLead Analyst for deploying new features and fixes into various modules of PMS system (PEP).
\n\n\nWHY YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT
\nYou have these minimum qualifications:
\n\nThree (3) years of professional work experience in Technology or related field\nTwo (2) years of specialized experience in a Technical Analyst role in applications developed using Java, Python, or similar languages\nOne (1) year of Analyst Experience working with Microservices and API management.\nStrong understanding of database design and development, including MS SQL and MySQL databases.\nExperience with AWS Cloud Solutions\nGood understanding of data monitoring tools, including Splunk & Datadog.\nExperience in Agile methodology best practices and familiarity with Agile software tools such as JIRA and Confluence.\nExperience working with the development of complex software applications and mentoring junior analysts.\nThis is a hybrid role and would require to be near one of our three US office locations (McLean, Dallas, Memphis)\nTravel up to 10%\n\nIt would be useful if you have:
\n\nBachelor’s Degree, or Associate’s Degree plus 6+ years of Technology related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus 12+ years of Technology related experience \nFive (5) + years of professional work experience in Technology or related field\nFour (4) + years of professional experience in software development\nOne (1) year of full-cycle software development in an Agile environment\nAWS and/or Java Certifications\n\n\nWHAT IT IS LIKE WORKING FOR HILTON
