Job Description

Oversee daily administration of tax filings for assigned legal entities including distributions of tax remittances according to tax jurisdiction guidelines. Manage client delivery across Tax filing Shared Services and work to mitigate escalations. Respond to Client and Client Team inquiries.

As Tax Filing Senior Analyst duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

First point of contact in Tax Filing for clients and client teams Liaison with Client and Payroll Client teams - for items including but not limited to – (1) coordination of amended returns for W-2Cs, (2) for questions on notices that need research from Payroll, (3) Payroll schedule and calendar, (4) interface file submissionFacilitate client meetingsEducate clients and provide subject matter expertise for payroll tax filingMentor and support colleagues Manage Tax Filing suppliers, as appropriate, to support accurate and timely delivery.Approve checklists – work checklist queueCoordinate testing for updated interfacesVariance analysis control point when issue needs escalation or analysisReview EFT setup to make sure all deposits set up for EFT payment where possibleMonitor and communicate “Applied for” statuses to the client.Communicate penalty and interest report to clientsRespond timely to inquiries from Client/Payroll teams – represent TFSS in meetingsSupport and provide timely research on compliance and regulatory issues. Escalates when additional support is needed.Monitor metrics and be responsible for identification of process or other issues and provide suggested resolution to managementRecognize need for process improvement and communicate to management; Support any process improvements/changesCoordinate and/or provide needed training for new associates or processesRespond to client communications and escalate to Operations Service Manager when neededMeet periodically with Operation Services Manager and report metrics and any delivery issuesSupport implementation of new clientsSupport and oversee delivery operations, including Tax Filing suppliers.Compile, report and analyze metricsAbility to problem solve and using tax knowledge and experience

Education and Experience

Demonstrated strong verbal & written communication skills required3 years Degree/ Diploma required.2+ Years of Payroll Tax Filing experience2+ Years Client interaction managementProficient in Excel, i.e. pivot tables, vlook-ups, macro development, etc2+ years’ experience with tax filing software requiredMaster Tax experience desiredADP Smart Compliance experience desired
