Senior Auditor - Wealth Management

Job Description:

At Regions, the Senior Auditor conducts internal audit activities in accordance with the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.

Primary Responsibilities

Develops initial audit program to meet the audit engagement objectives with some supervisionPlans the nature, timing, and extent of engagement proceduresDevelops project timeline to ensure alignment with internal audit annual planReviews work performed by audit team to ensure documentation is in accordance with the internal audit methodologyEnsures all audit conclusions are fully supported in work papersCoaches internal audit staff throughout the audit engagement to ensure the audit objectives are metDrafts audit issues using established criteria in the internal audit methodologyEnsures that all audit issues are developed accurately and objectively and reflect the audit work performedDiscusses audit findings and their impacts professionally and confidentially with various levels of the organization as directed by audit managementFollows-up on management remediation actions as directed by supervisorIdentifies process improvements for the business based on understanding and analysis of process flows/operations

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Risk, or related fieldThree (3) years of experience in internal audit, external audit, banking, or risk management/compliance

Preferences

Professional certification or progression towards one, preferably one of the following:Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS)Certified Bank Auditor (CBA)Certified Fiduciary and Investment Risk Specialist (CFIRS)Certified Financial Systems Auditor (CFSA)Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)Certified Public Accountant (CPA)Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)CRP

Skills and Competencies

The Wealth Management Auditor will seek a thorough understanding of the Wealth Management businesses.  They will utilize their knowledge of audit fundamentals and financial services risks/controls to challenge and test the business process control design to ensure Regions achieves objectives.

Previous experience auditing Trust, Investments, or Financial Services and developing audit procedures to test related compliance, operational, and other business risks is preferred.

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

$91,930.00 USD
