Overview:
The Commercial Auto Examiner will be responsible for managing and examining Commercial Auto Claims, ensuring efficient and effective claims processing. This role involves assessing property damage, property damage liability, rental management, and other relevant coverages associated with commercial auto insurance. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to make informed decisions while maintaining customer service excellence. The Commercial Auto Examiner will collaborate with various stakeholders, including claimants, insurance agents, and legal representatives, to facilitate resolutions that align with company policies and industry standards.
Locations: We are seeking candidates in Phoenix, AZ, O' Fallon, MO and Chesapeake, VA.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and evaluate contract language to discern coverage issues effectively. Develop claims files through accurate and timely investigation and loss analysis. Maintain a detailed file diary to facilitate swift resolution of claims. Establish and monitor accurate reserves for each claim. Identify and pursue recovery opportunities where applicable. Comply with all statutory and regulatory fair claims practices. Recognize and assess potential fraudulent claims. Manage relationships with outside vendors efficiently regarding their work product and associated expenses. Evaluate claim details critically and negotiate settlements effectively. Build and maintain strong business relationships with both internal teams and external customers. Act as a technical resource for less experienced adjusters on the team, providing guidance and support. Contribute to the achievement of team goals, objectives, and overall results. Assist with workload surges and catastrophe operations as needed, including potential overtime during designated events.Experience & Education Requirements:
A minimum of 2 years of experience in handling commercial auto claims, including complex coverage and liability investigations.A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent practical experience is required.Comprehensive understanding of insurance contracts, investigative methodologies, legal requirements, and relevant insurance regulations.Proven ability to collaborate effectively within teams and interact with diverse individuals.Strong analytical aptitude for evaluating and interpreting informationDesired Skills:
