Wood is recruiting for a Senior Automation Hardware Engineer to join our System Integration (SI) team within our Digital Consulting business, focusing on the electrical hardware for a PLC across discrete automation projects.   

Our Systems Integration (SI) team operate across UK; therefore, the role can be based at any of the following UK offices; Aberdeen, Staines, Reading, Glasgow or Northampton on a hybrid basis. 

Please note applicants must be able to pass HMG Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check.

The Role 

The Engineer will be responsible for the initial design of the physical elements of the controls system through to supervising and supporting the actual build. You will join a small team who support exciting projects across high-profile clients within the Digital Consulting business.  

As a Senior Automation Hardware Engineer, you will have the expert knowledge to assist in the implementation of a variety of projects, specialising in the hardware design of the electrical controls. Experience with Allen Bradley Control Logix is required.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Controls / Hardware engineer with a positive and proactive approach to ensuring continuous improvements, customer satisfaction and safety performance, who is looking for a role that provides technical challenges and variety.
