As such, the field engineer provides the first line of technical support, analysis, and integration in the development of next-generation semi-autonomous driving systems.
What will you do?The field engineer will work alongside the development teams of a leading international automotive company. The field engineer will Be the liaison between Mobileye and the customer and hold a key role in Mobileye's development projects providing the customer with direct technical support. As such, the field engineer will have an influence on the design and application of advanced vision based semi-autonomous driving systems, eventually installed in millions of cars worldwideWhat will your job look like?Ability to understand operate and debug the entire Mobileye system and solve the customer problems.Installing various Mobileye evaluation systems on prototype vehicles: mechanical assembly, electrical connections, network configuration, operating systems, version deployments etc. Debugging multidisciplinary system failures. Performing and supervising test drives on an open road and test tracksThe position includes office work, support at vehicle production lines and integration facilities.Tasks also include long test drives and travel to additional local cities and abroad projects from time to time. Close collaboration with the AV development, validation, and algorithm teamsTesting and validating end-to-end AV functionality and provide expert reports.Representing the company in customer demonstrations
All you need is. in Electrical engineering /exact science or similar field Valid driving license and Advanced driving courses (for test vehicles)Linux experience2+ years of experience in customer facing roles (support / field engineer or similar)Various "Hands On" experience with installation (e.g. assembling, wiring, soldering)Experience with configuring/troubleshooting computers, Operating-Systems, protocol-based devices.Testing tools Experience: OBD2, Multi-meter (Fluke), Scope, Battery Analyzer, Sniffers etc.Excellent hardware and software systems understanding & problem-solving.Willingness to work in a dynamic environment.Independent, self-disciplined, and self-containedHighly motivated and self-management skillsGreat interpersonal skills, customer facing.Fluent German and English skills both verbal and writingRegular travels to Israel & Germany (Munich) for educational and training purposesAbroad travels to support remote projects (3-4 times per year)Mobileye changes the way we drive, from preventing accidents to semi and fully autonomous vehicles.
