Overview

As an integral member of our software team, you will play a leading role in bringing the production of our eVTOL to Industry 4.0. You will be responsible for conception and development of services interacting with everything from large production machines to users and everything in between, driving automation and coherence to existing regulations in this new type of industry. With your development skills, you will drive the integration of our production machines and the connection to all related production data, significantly advancing automation to the greatest extent possible.

Development of Backend services using pythonInterfacing with Frontend developers to realise needed functionsFurther development of the existing architecture and optimization of automation strategiesCollaborating with internal stakeholders to identify and align requirements and functionalitiesCollaborating with external vendors to determine optimal strategies and ensure system stabilityInternational deployment at locations in the USA and Germany Required Completed studies in (business) informatics, mechanical engineering, or a comparable fieldAdvanced proficiency in PythonAdvanced proficiency in working with DockerAdvanced knowledge in RESTful web services Desired Working proficiency with GitHub-based CI/CDWorking proficiency with databases such as PostgreSQL and/or TimescaleDBIdeally, familiarity with different file systems such as cloud storage or similarAbility to work independently in international teamsExperience with complex projects and agile working methodsIdeally, experience in the production sector

Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay, bonus,  and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $132,200 - $197,900/year. The compensation package offered will be determined by location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
