Job Summary: 

The Senior Backend Software Engineer will collaborate with the technical think tank and architecture team to design and implement robust, scalable backend solutions focused on performance, security, and maintainability. Develop and maintain high-performance RESTful and GraphQL APIs while writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code across multiple technology stacks. Lead technical design discussions, provide architectural guidance, and contribute to architectural decisions. Conduct thorough code reviews and address complex technical challenges. Ensure comprehensive security across backend systems and take a holistic approach to software development.

 

Responsibilities:

Work with peers in the technical thinktank, including members of the architecture team to Architect and implement robust, scalable backend solutions with a focus on performance, security, and maintainability. Develop and maintain high-performance RESTful and GraphQL APIs. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code across multiple technology stacks. Lead technical design discussions and provide architectural guidance. Conduct thorough code reviews and contribute to architectural discussions. Demonstrate a holistic approach to software development, considering technical and human impacts. Ensure comprehensive security implementation across backend systems. Proactively identify and resolve complex technical challenges. Commitment to continuous learning and technological excellence. Other duties as assigned.

Education: 

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: 

Six years of professional software engineering experience. Knowledge of microservices architecture and best practices for external system integration. Proven ability to optimize API performance and ensure low-latency responses for real-time systems. Strong understanding of software design principles and architectural patterns. Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies. Familiarity with setting up CI/CD pipelines for seamless integration and deployment. Experience deploying applications on cloud platforms such as AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCP. Proven ability to work in diverse technological environments. Relational database design and optimization (PostgreSQL, SQL Server). Deep experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL, including schema design and query optimization. Familiarity with NoSQL databases like MongoDB for use cases requiring flexibility (session storage or logging). Experience with Node.js and Express.js. Core Backend Technologies: Expert-level API design and implementation. Advanced middleware development. Comprehensive authentication and authorization mechanisms OAuth 2.0. JWT implementation Multi-factor authentication strategies. Deep understanding of asynchronous programming patterns. Proficient in TypeScript for type-safe backend development. Cloud and Infrastructure: Cloud-native application development. Containerization and Orchestration. Docker and Kubernetes Advanced container optimization techniques. Cloud Platform Expertise AWS (preferred). Lambda functions ECS/EKS API Gateway. Azure and GCP experience a plus Serverless architecture design. Advanced networking and security configuration.

 

Preferred: 

Additional backend language expertise: C# and .NET Core Python (Django, Flask) Ruby on Rails Machine learning integration experience Experience with microservices architecture. Background in agile software development methodologies

Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Software that healthcare providers use to input patient data, such as medical history, diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and test results. Patient Engagement (PE): Software that shows patients the wait times at various clinics, allows patients to reserve a spot in line if there's a wait, and book the appointment. Practice Management (PM): Software that the clinic front desk staff uses to register the patient once they arrive for their appointment. Billing and Revenue Cycle Management (RCM): Software that manages coding, billing and payer contracts for clinics so they don’t have to. Teleradiology: Board certified radiologist providing accurate and timely reads of results from X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds, for our urgent care clients.
