Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic Senior Behavioral Shift Manager to join our team and support the highest-tier behavioral consumers in a dynamic, team-oriented setting. In this position, you will lead shifts, work directly with a variety of behavioral health professionals, and play a pivotal role in managing shifts, providing guidance to team members, and delivering quality care to individuals with behavioral health needs.
Key Responsibilities
+ Lead shifts as the primary behavioral professional, overseeing the care and support of individuals with higher-tier behavioral needs.
+ Work closely with a team of behavioral health professionals, providing mentorship and support.
+ Implement positive behavior supports and supervise the application of behavioral interventions.
+ Assist in developing and implementing treatment strategies for clients, focusing on daily living skills, such as cooking, cleaning, personal hygiene, activities, and community involvement.
+ De-escalate challenging behaviors using proven techniques, including verbal de-escalation and crisis management.
+ Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring proper documentation and oversight.
+ Accompany individuals to and from appointments and community outings.
+ Oversee and assist in data collection for behavioral analysis, using methods such as frequency, duration, and ABC data collection.
+ Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all behavioral interventions, progress, and treatment plans.
+ Actively participate in the agency's ongoing Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) training program to enhance skills and knowledge.
Minimum Qualifications
+ High School Diploma or GED required; 1+ years of experience in behavioral health is essential.
+ Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
+ Strong understanding of positive behavior supports, ABA strategies, and verbal de-escalation techniques.
+ Proficient in ABA terminology, ABC data collection, and data analysis.
+ Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with individuals displaying higher-tier behavioral challenges.
+ Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
+ Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (not more than 3 suspensions or points in the past 3 years).
