PURPOSE OF THE JOB :
To prepare, lead and manage all costing and pricing aspects of a tender within the bid team, with support and expertise of central team (finance, taxes, legal), To support Bid Manager on target cost, cost consolidation and cost challenge per work package, To deliver Price Sheet and economic documentation as per customer request, For winning bids, support the transfer to the Project team.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Key accountabilities:
As referent stakeholder of the costing process, you are in charge of:
Preparing target costs and benchmarks per activity and Work Package Owner, matching with winning price and identified gaps versus Reference Solution Preparing the Instruction For Quotation based on Customer Specification, in accordance with pricing strategy Leading cost estimation activities based on target cost approach with all participating units and métiers (Engineering, Finance, Taxes, Insurance, Industrial, Sourcing, etc.) Leading a collaborative work with Finance Tender Manager to optimize Financial costs (bonds, financing, hedging, insurance, taxes, etc), and to improve overall competitiveness of the bid Leading cost consolidation Control the costing robustness with regards to the customer technical expectations, the project schedule, and the terms & conditions (consistency between scope of work, costing received and planning)
As one of the Bid Manager major partners, you will:
Lead cost improvement actions to reach tender cost / target price challenging the contributors and using all competitiveness levers Consolidate tender cost commitments and selling price as per Alstom financial rules (within consolidation tool) Perform analysis and prepare cost synthesis for internal tender reviews Support proactively the Bid manager and the Finance Tender Manager during the tender validation process For Pre-tendering phase, support quick costing based on bid cost database and return of experience from project execution
You are the financial referent for the customer’s Q&A sessions, your role is:
To prepare and master the Customer’s Pricing Sheet Provide compelling analysis of the Selling Price Support the Customer negotiation meetings for finance and Terms & Conditions aspects Lead cost estimation activities for changes discussed with the customer during negotiation phase and update the cost commitment consequently
For the winning bids, you will be in charge of:
Transferring tender costing data (with related assumptions) into the Project team tool Providing analysis on variance between final tender review and transfer review to the project team Support the Project team on demand for variation order costings
Performance measurements:
Provide all costing and pricing deliverables on time Accuracy and consistency of cost commitment for tender submittal and for tender negotiation Reliability of cost commitment between Tender Transfer Meeting and first Project Reviews
MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
Technical Skills
Rigor and good analytical skills Ability to recognize product and associated costs, and understand operational flows (engineering, manufacturing, industrial, etc) Ability to analyse and challenge contributor's commitments Ability to define cost impact of terms & conditions Sufficient awareness of financial rules and contractual aspects (bonds & guarantees, …) Power BI mastering is a plus
Your Profile
Engineering degree and/or Business School. You are curious and willing to evolve in a leading-edge technological environment. You have minimum 5 years of successful experience in industry, costing experience in a similar industry is a plus. You enjoy working in a collaborative way, on short term projects with tight deadlines, and have demonstrated your ability to deliver on time and on quality. You are recognized for your leadership and good communication skills (presentations up to the top management, synthesis, relationship with contributors ...). You feel comfortable in an international and a multi-cultural environment. You see quality processes as a lever. You are results & data driven, customer & team oriented. You recognize yourself in the following words: autonomy, anticipation, initiative, reactivity, agility. You are fluent in English and French.
The role is base in Saint-Ouen.
