Job Description:
Parsons is seeking an amazingly talented Senior BIM Coordinator (Buildings). The Senior BIM Coordinator will ensure that engineering deliverables, shop drawings, RFI, etc. are reflected within direct works models as well as coordinated before formal issuance of information for approval. Managing and coordinating the digital processes associated with the design and construction stages of a project. This involves ensuring that all digital information is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to all stakeholders. Communication is a vital aspect of this role with regular interactions with project managers, Engineers, BIM Modelers, and other key stakeholder to keep everyone aligned and deliverables on program.
What You'll Be Doing:
Ensuring that our digital content is produced, stored, shared and exploited using the latest technologies and practices.Ensuring timely and compliant Project Delivery (BEP Development, Level of Information Need, Responsibility Matrix, Information Exchange, processes, Check and review processes etc) by conducting regular BIM coordination meetings and recording MOMAssisting the design team in the production of Revit Models, when required.Provide progress and performance updates to Technical manager digital on fortnightly and monthly basis.Develop and maintain QA/QC templates following the organization’s and project’s quality procedures and the Project’s BIM production methods and standards.Work closely with engineering team members to resolve model problems and ensure their understanding of project, office and/or client BIM Standards.Modify and maintain BIM files for use in design drawings.Lead Training sessions with project teams on software applications and process.Coordinate and assist BIM team in modeling of projects based of existing 2D CAD plans or construction.Measure & ensure the highest quality for all BIM package submission in accordance with project standards.Production of federated model and clash detection reports using Navisworks and model coordination.Technical support training and troubleshooting for primary software.Create new project specific workflows to implement client BIM standards.Assist to create or maintain standards, processes and goals. File naming convention for deliverables and process for updating status and revision codes in compliance with ISO 19650.What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a relevant field.Minimum 8 years of experience in Buildings Design and Construction.Expert knowledge in BIM software (Revit, CAD, MS Office, Adobe Acrobat) and BIM federation/co-ordination platforms (Navisworks).Familiarity with ISO 19650 standards and BIM best practices in construction projects.Experience in engineering design and interdisciplinary services coordination.Proficiency in Common Data Environment (CDE) and supporting project teams.Extensive experience with CAD/Production teams.Knowledge of data visualization platforms and BIM uses in construction (sequencing, quantity take-offs).What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
