Compensation Range

Hourly: $34.05 - $39.90 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)

About This Job

The main purpose of this job is to business intelligence reporting for clients to help with fixed income investments, banking, and other strategic decisions.

Essential Functions

Responsible for all bond accounting functionality within the Intrader application with respect to Commerce Bank’s bond portfolio.  This includes testing all new functionality as well as testing required for each upgrade.  If errors are found, work with third-party vendors to find resolutions.

Work with the InTrader vendor on enhancement requests, custom programming and maintenance, and functionality upgrades required to meet all regulatory guidelines

Produce quarterly peer reports comparing bank client portfolios to similar financial institutions

Regularly partners with Corporate Finance to develop new and/or improved products/functionality

Compile periodic municipal monitoring reports for clients monthly

Develop ad-hoc reporting for the Capital Markets Group (CMG) teams and/or clients upon request

Support public entity collateral desk

Support auditing and compliance reporting

Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

Strong knowledge of financial statements and intermediate understanding of accounting

Knowledge of business intelligence systems and proficiency with presenting actionable information

Knowledge of fixed income instruments

 Willingness to develop new methods to create efficiencies for current processes and deliverables

Ability to identify measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system

Extensive InTrader (or equivalent) system knowledge

Comprehensive knowledge of technical systems and file transmission standards and processes

Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values

Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent combination of education and experience required

Master’s degree in Accounting preferred

5+ years of FIS InTrader experience required

**Candidates located in the Kansas City, MO area will be onsite 3 days per week, otherwise fully remote
