Senior Brand Manager, Campbell's Red & White

We currently have a Senior Brand Manager role open for our iconic Campbell’s Red & White business. The successful candidate in this role will:

Act as an owner and will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies and tactics that deliver the Annual Operating Plan P&L commitments and market share objectives of the Campbell’s Red & White portfolio. 

Demonstrate strategic, creative, and critical thinking in developing business and marketing plans in a complex environment. A passion for curiosity, continuous improvement, solution orientation, and bias for action will distinguish this leader in driving success.

Principal Accountabilities

Develop holistic view of macro trends, category & competitive landscape, and a deep understanding of consumer motivations to identify key opportunities for growth.

Partner with Integrated Marketing Team to translate marketing objectives into strong content and activities across social, digital, media and PR.

Lead business analytics (share, competitive, consumption drivers), monitor performance against business objectives and recommend course corrections as needed.

Manage monthly consumption analysis and volume forecast, working with demand planning & sales strategy to deliver accurate forecast. Identify risks and opportunities to deliver on annual operating plan.

Develop innovation pipeline (line extensions, renovation, new pack/format) from concept development to in-market execution. Lead cross-functional teams through stage gate and commercialization process.

Collaborate with key partners across sales & insights teams to develop compelling sell-in story and materials.

Identify strategic knowledge gaps and partner with consumer insights to develop learning plans.

Manage P&L responsibly while leading the cross-function business teams, partnering with Breakthrough Innovation, Finance, Supply Chain, R&D and Sales Strategy & Planning to effectively commercialize and execute plans with excellence and proactively look for opportunities to improve margins

Manage and develop a team of two to three direct reports

Proactively assist team members on other category and or marketing products when needed.

As an employee of a food manufacturing facility, you are responsible for ensuring food safety and quality by reporting any concerns to the quality assurance department.

Job Complexity:

Proven brand strategy development using a disciplined approach.

Positive track record for developing successful breakthrough integrated marketing campaigns with emphasis on digital and social media.

Aptitude to develop a perspective and tell a clear story with data while communicating with impact.

Demonstrated ability to translate insights into actionable opportunities with limited information/ knowledge base.

Ability to be strategic with a view towards the long-term business needs.

Experience and ability to motivate a high-performing cross-functional team and influence external stakeholders (e.g., key strategic retailers).

Proven ability to develop category and customer strategies to win in adjacent categories/ new categories.

Consumer first mindset in developing brand communication strategies.

Strong collaboration skills to bring to life In-Market Activations and define launch scenarios.

Job Specifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business or related field -- MBA preferred; 7+ years consumer marketing or related industry experience.

Large brand experience with large CPG organization desired.

Food experience desired.

Brand marketing experience with cooking is a strong plus.

Excellent communication/presentation skills; ability to inform, influence and collaborate across functions and with all organization levels.

Strong creative thinking with demonstrated ability to build activations with creative, digital, social, PR, and media agency partners.

Strong ability to be proactive, yet flexible as priorities shift.

Strong strategic and innovative mindset to solve brand business problems.

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks within tight timeframes and deadlines in a dynamic working environment.

Strong analytical skills and business/financial acumen.

Experience with Microsoft Office, IRI Unify, Nielsen & SPINS.

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between 

$105,000-$172,200

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
