Overview Gallagher Re is seeking ambitious, analytical-minded broking talent to join our North American agriculture reinsurance and consulting team. This is a client facing role in a team environment that involves servicing existing accounts, business production and new agri-product development. How you'll make an impact Join Gallagher Re’s rapidly expanding North American Agriculture Business Segment; collaborating with colleagues across a variety of broking and analytics-based disciplines toward the development of innovative content and product that drives both industry-leading servicing of existing customers and new business production. Work with broking teams, actuaries and catastrophe modelers to analyze portfolio level agri-insurance risk. Advise clients on reinsurance treaty structures to mitigate downside risk and enhance capital efficiencies. Negotiate and place reinsurance treaties utilizing international capital markets. Comply with external and internal regulatory and statutory policies, procedures and regulations. Coordinate internal resources, including analytics, contracts and client services, to optimize client experience and performance. Education and / or Experience: • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university. • Eight or more years of work experience, preferably in agriculture (re)insurance or consulting. • Experience delivering presentations to clients and internal groups. Language Skills: • Proficient in writing reports and general business correspondence. • Present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. • Read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations. Mathematical Skills: • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. • Fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. • Application of concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, percentiles and proportions to practical situations. Software Skills: • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint. Reasoning: • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram and schedule form. Work Environment: • Daily collaboration with a team of high-functioning colleagues. • Based on the nature of this position, there will be flexibility in the geographic location of the successful candidate.
