This is a Hybrid Role - Must live within a commutable distance to one of our locations

 

Job Purpose

 

The National Grid AMI Operations Center Senior will support the establishment of the AOC and act as a charter member to this new organization as it expands over time. This will include assisting with AMI solution design, testing and deployment and operational support. 

 

Key Accountabilities

 

Attend Digital Process Design (DPD) workshops to support the definition of business processes the AOC will be responsible for executing and monitoring Participate in Business Testing (e.g., User Acceptance Testing) efforts as a key representative of the AOC to test system functionality and sign off on the results to confirm that the system is meeting business requirements as defined through DPD workshops Support the development of operational systems, tools, and reports or dashboards necessary to monitor, analyze, troubleshoot, and report on the AMI system performance Support the operations of the new AMI system and collaborate across multiple organizations at National Grid to monitor, analyze, troubleshoot, and report on the AMI System performance Support analyzing AMI meter reading data patterns and trends to create solutions and plan forward.  Assisting with designing, building and testing reports, dashboards etc. to help AOC to help the program succeed overall. 
 

 

Qualifications

 

5+ years of practical experience with operational systems within either business or IT, preferably within the utilities industry Knowledge and intermediate understanding of AMI head-end systems (HES), meter data management systems (MDMS), work force management systems and customer information systems (CIS) Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across organizations Previous customer service skills, for working both within NG and to resolve customer specific issues Ability to interpret large datasets to identify trends and patterns. Identify inefficiencies in current workflows and propose data-driven solutions to optimize processes. Strong ability to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Maybe a preferred background in Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems?

Salary
$94,000 - $111,000 a year 
Salary commensurate with location and experiencer

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
