The role of Senior Business analyst, Core Financial Services Technologies is an instrumental role in Western Union technology organization, taking responsibility of identifying business challenges, analyzing data, and defining IT solutions that align with company objectives. This includes working on strategic multi-million initiatives spanning various technologies including settlement, treasury, ERP, credit and other. It will be reporting to Head of Settlement Technologies in Lithuania. This role will collaborate closely with stakeholders, analyze business processes, and define technical requirements to ensure successful project execution in large organizations. We would like our new colleague to operate in a highly collaborative manner across a diverse set of stakeholders and operational owners but also disrupt and overcome a culture of consensus decision making.
Role Responsibilities
Gather, document, and analyze business requirements for IT systems, software, and applications.
Conduct gap analysis to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications for development teams.
Create use cases, process flows, wireframes, and mockups for system design.
Collaborate with C-level executives, business units, IT teams, and external vendors.
Conduct requirements workshops, stakeholder interviews, and user story mapping sessions.
Facilitate communication between business and IT teams, ensuring alignment on project goals.
Serve as the primary contact for business process improvements and system enhancements.
Work closely with Project Managers, Product Owners, and Scrum Teams to ensure project success.
Assist in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and user story prioritization.
Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing), system validation, and deployment processes.
Perform data analysis, modeling, and reporting to support business decisions.
Work with SQL, Excel, BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) to generate insights.
Lead change management initiatives to drive adoption of new IT systems.
Provide training, documentation, and support to business users.
Recommend process automation and digital transformation strategies.
Role Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
Certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional), PMI-PBA, CCBA, or Agile BA are a plus.
6+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Technical Consultant.
Experience working in large corporations, enterprise IT environments, or regulated industries (finance, healthcare, telecom, manufacturing, and others.).
Strong background in enterprise applications, Oracle ERP, CRM, cloud platforms, and business intelligence systems.
Expertise in business process modeling (BPMN, UML).
Proficiency in SQL, data analysis, and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Excel).
Experience with Agile tools like JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps.
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and negotiation abilities.
Ability to influence senior executives and lead cross-functional teams.
Highly adaptable and able to manage multiple complex projects.

Salary
The monthly gross base salary range is 2167 – 4,015 EUR. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive an annual bonus that aligns with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies..
