Progyny is hiring a Senior Business Analyst to join the Business Strategy and Analytics team in New York City. Our team is at the forefront of key strategic initiatives of the nation’s leading fertility benefits management company. In this role, you will support our sales team as a trusted advisor, recommending deal structures to achieve sales goals while minimizing risk to Progyny. You’ll advise on strategic initiatives by conducting data analysis, collaborating cross-functionally, and presenting to various internal stakeholders, including executive leadership, as well as mentoring and setting analytical and communication standards for junior team members. You will learn the nuances of fertility, dive into the complex world of healthcare analytics and contribute to meaningful changes in the way we approach the marketplace with our growing suite of fertility and women’s health products.
What you'll do...
Generate book of business reporting by industry, geography, and treatment to inform the sales team of current cost trends
Manage, optimize, and update existing SQL Queries, analytics, and reports to fully serve the sales teams as they seek effective ways to manage risk across deals.
Maintain cross-functional relationships with customer-facing teams and collaborate on analytics for data driven conversations, presentations, and enhancements of team efficiency.
Deliver ad-hoc analytics to facilitate innovative deal structures, advise on the cost of overrides vs base model outputs, and act as a trusted partner to the sales team by owning all aspects of modelling and validation used to inform the sales process.
Understand how to leverage and combine various data sources (SQL, Salesforce, Sharepoint, etc) and applications (PowerBI, Excel, etc) to create solutions, dashboards, and analysis.
Present analytical insights to key stakeholders in a way that is easy to understand and actionable
About you...
5-7 years of relevant data analysis experience, preferably at a top-tier consulting firm or healthcare company
Bachelor’s degree required
Enjoys analyzing large sets of data (30M+ rows) and forming actionable insights
Demonstrable Proficiency in Excel required
Demonstrable Proficiency in SQL required
Proficiency with Python preferred
Prior experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Cognos, Tableau, Looker) preferred
Enjoys learning, dissecting, optimizing, and ultimately owning existing modelling methodologies
Organized and methodical with very strong attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to be adaptive and inquisitive; natural problem solver
Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction on multiple endeavors at once
Driven to deliver results with the ability to establish rapport, earn trust, and effectively collaborate with others

In compliance with New York City's Wage Transparency Law, the annual salary [wage] range for NYC-based applicants is: $100,000 - $110,000. There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. Progyny offers a total compensation package comprised of base salary, cash bonus, and equity.
