PURPOSE

Operating as part of the International  Product function, the successful candidate will work with Business Leaders and Subject Matter Experts to gain insight on existing process, procedure, local market and regulatory/legal requirements in the context of implementing the strategic change on the core acquiring platform  for Global Payments AP. 

The successful candidate will support the management and maintenance of  the integrity of our core processing platforms for providing Authorisations, Clearing and settlement services,  Scheme Settlement & Merchant Pricing. They will work in partnership with product managers of the wider AP Product Management team to deliver high quality solutions to the AP businesses.

This is a highly active and varied role, requiring a driven and analytical mindset and the acceptance / willingness to flex into tasks and activities outside of the formal job description as needed. Candidates must be able to demonstrate recent experience of similar roles and responsibilities. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the Core Acquiring Project Management team  in all aspects of business/project analysis and implementation against the Acquiring Product Strategic roadmap;

Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis tasks and workflow analysis;

Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs;

Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyse information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artefacts as needed: (Business Requirements Document: Functional/Non Functional Requirements, Use Cases, GUI, Screen and Interface Designs, UML Diagrams);

Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously;

Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans;

Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements;

Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyse trade-offs between usability and performance needs;

Continuously improve processes and tools

Ensure that the team delivers high quality solutions on time and that it meets client and user business needs

Be the liaison between the business units (Internal and External clients), technology teams and support teams.

Create requirements specifications, solution specifications and related documentation

Demonstrate a solid understanding of the company’s payment solutions, technologies and services.

Develop and maintain any related internal/external messaging/collateral and communications for these platforms

Provide technical support to the business/customers/3rd parties as and when required

COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS or ABILITIES / BEHAVIOR)

5 years of relevant roles as a business analyst with understanding of payments processing systems/applications;

Knowledge of card schemes (such as Visa, Mastercard, JCB, China UnionPay), domestic TW  (NCCC) credit card processor, APM (QR codes) and RTP (realtime payment)

Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements;

Strong experience of technology, processes and tools to support program & project management.

Experience of working under pressure and to tight deadlines;

Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

Strong relationship building skills with ability to present ideas and concepts coherently to senior stakeholders

Ability to own and manage content with responsibility for ensuring it is up to date

Detail oriented with good organisational skills (organising meetings/calls and coordinating activities)

Proactive approach to handling issues, risks, dependencies and escalations 

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, work with schedules, manage resources while remaining focused on team goals

In addition to English, Chinese language proficiency on both spoken and written on the domain’s technical terms is a must

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree from college or university

5+ years of experience in a similar role with strong knowledge of the payments industry and/or a strong technical background.
