The Senior Business Analyst will bridge the desires of the customer and the technical capabilities of the business, removing barriers to delivering products to the market. As well as identifying problems and issues with current systems and products , you will be essential to identifying opportunities for improvement in business operations and processes and enabling an integrated delivery of changes. You will play a key role within the Programme delivery team, accountable for the end to end delivery of business capabilities within the SDLC.
The Senior Business Analyst position responsibilities include stakeholder identification and management, scope definition, requirement elicitation, documentation and management. Data analysis, process mapping, supporting product delivery teams and go to market activities.
What you’ll do
Elicit information from all relevant internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Work closely with Product Management and Domain leaders to gather, document and analyze stakeholder needs and end to end solution requirements based on defined business problems
Serve as the conduit between user/business needs, technical capabilities, and engineering requirements, developing these into requirements for technical and non-technical backlogs for development and operational teams.
Have a solution-focused approach to analysis of blocker and impediments to delivery and ensure Product leadership is aware of key issues and changes, and provide them with the right information and recommendations to resolve issues
Perform analysis activities required to support go to market activities and operational readiness (customer usage analysis, process and procedure documentation, training support, etc.)
Make tough decisions on trade-offs between features, quality and dates in order to provide the best solution for our clients
Build in-depth knowledge of goals and desired objectives of the initiatives and features
Work with Architect(s) and Tech Lead(s) to identify non-functional requirements such as infrastructure, security and operational needs.
Work with Quality Assurance team member(s) to identify test cases for automated testing, including clearly articulated success criteria.
Preparation and Participation in PI Planning Program Backlog and contribute to the Business Analysis Chapter, including but not limited to knowledge sharing, process creation and improvement, template creation and improvement, peer training on BA techniques.
What experience do you need
Bachelors in Technology or Business or equivalent job experience required.
7 + years’ experience as a business/technical or process analyst role
3+ year experience managing multiple projects end to end, keeping stakeholders updated and engaged throughout.
Great stakeholder engagement and management skills with the ability to say no and stand up for tough calls needed to better serve the business and our clients
Exceptional facilitation skills including experience facilitating online workshop and large groups from all levels of the organisation
Experience preparing content and presenting to senior leaders
Self-driven with great organisation and time management skills
Great influence and negotiation skills with an ability to adapt changing environment
Flexible – This role may require taking on other responsibilities at times Google Suite, Office Software, Confluence and Jira
