Senior Business Analyst
Job Description:

Job Title: Senior Business Analyst  

 

The Role:   

The Senior Business Analyst is part of the newly-created Enterprise Outcomes & Analysis team and supports executive decision-making for Fidelity’s highest financial priorities.  This role will partner across Fidelity functions to complete analyses and answer questions with a cross-company perspective and contribute to the creation of executive messaging and communications. The ideal candidate is an analytical problem-solver who works both independently and as part of a team, enjoys working through questions to create clarity and understanding, encourages sharing of new ideas, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.  

 

 The Expertise and Skills You Bring 

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience 

2-5 years of financial services experience, such as experience in a corporate strategy group, finance function, or strategy consulting firm; other helpful experience could include financial analysis, product development, marketing strategy, and business plan development 

Creative thinking and fact-based problem-solving that combines strong conceptual skills and strong analytical skills with a goal-oriented focus (i.e., what are we trying to solve?) 

Effective communication and messaging skills that convey meaning with clarity 

Curiosity about our industry and our markets, with an eagerness to explore business questions, uncover insights, and learn about how we will succeed as an enterprise 

Attention to detail and comfort with ambiguity 

Cooperative, team-focused mindset, coupled with a positive attitude and an emphasis on proactively identifying needs and creating innovative solutions 

Adaptable and capable of both collaborating and leading effectively  

Ability to connect with others and build positive relationships 

Solid project management abilities and knowledge of financial modeling, presentation, and data visualization tools (e.g., MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, PowerBI) 

Commitment to continuous improvement and finding new ways to get things done!

The Enterprise Outcomes & Analysis team within Corporate Finance, in collaboration with senior leaders, business partners from across the organization, and other Corporate Finance teams, provides insights on investment and portfolio discipline, financial trends, and other areas of executive interest to deliver on enterprise strategy and ensure the long-term financial success of the firm.
