Job Description

THE POSITION:

The primary responsibility of this role business analysis for complex system implementations, integrations and other major initiatives that fit the definition of a project. The most important aspect of this position is the ability to document system and process requirements within a broad range of scenarios.  The ideal candidate will have a strong background in performing business analysis for complex systems.  The person in this position will need the skills necessary to fully engage with project stakeholders across the board and faithfully document information related to system configurations and other projects.  In addition, a thorough understanding of the regulated context of the projects being executed will be helpful, along with a strict adherence to policies and procedures governing software implementation to support regulated services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain working knowledge of all of the relevant business processes and the software tools required to support those processesRequirements Gathering and Analysis: Ability to elicit, analyze, document, and validate functional and non-functional requirements for complex systems.Process Modeling and Optimization: Experience with business process mapping, documentation, and optimization techniques to improve efficiency and effectiveness.System Integration: Baseline understanding of enterprise application integration (EAI) patterns and technologies, such as web services, APIs, ESBs, and ETL.Technical Documentation: Skilled in creating comprehensive technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, interface specifications, and user manuals.Project Management: Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.Change Management: Experience in managing organizational change, including stakeholder communication and training.Business Process Improvement: Capable of identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing solutions to enhance operational efficiency.Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address complex system challenges.Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders, including business users, IT teams, and vendors.Risk Management: Ability to identify, analyze, and mitigate risks associated with system implementations and integrations.Testing and Quality Assurance: Experience in designing and executing test plans to ensure the quality and reliability of integrated systems.Vendor Management: Proficiency in managing relationships with external vendors and service providers.Regulatory and Compliance: Understanding of industry regulations and compliance requirements that may impact system design and implementation.Business and Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the specific industry, market, and business processes relevant to the organization.Participate in quality control, testing and verification processesAll other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

Education certifications related to the business analysis role in project managementExperience and/or Training At least 5 years of experience as a business analyst specifically focused on system implementations and integrations.Technology/Equipment Adept at utilizing Microsoft Office and other project management related tools designed to facilitate the business analyst role in projects.

QualificationsEducation college degree in computer science or business analysis related fieldExperience and/or Training 10+ years of experience as a business analyst specifically focused on system implementations and integrationsTechnology/Equipment RPA, automation, big data, machine learning, predictive analytics
