Responsibilities Analyze financial data to guide strategic IT investments.Develop financial models (ROI, NPV, TCO) for assessing costs, benefits, and risks.Evaluate the financial impact of IT strategies and infrastructure modernization efforts.Provide recommendations to align IT investments with agency financial goals.Conduct cost-benefit analyses to support infrastructure decisions.Identify risks in IT projects and offer mitigation strategies.Track key financial metrics and compare against budgets/forecasts.Prepare reports and dashboards for executive stakeholders.Ensure IT investments support financial health and operational goals.Map business processes, workflows, and system dependencies.Identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement in operations.Translate business needs into technical specifications for future infrastructure.Work with internal teams and vendors to gather financial and business requirements.Facilitate discussions to align business goals with infrastructure strategies.Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ensure IT investments align with long-term business strategies.Contribute to multi-year IT roadmaps and modernization efforts.Ensure IT initiatives follow policies, financial controls, and governance frameworks.Assist with scenario planning for future infrastructure needs.Identify and evaluate emerging technologies relevant to the VA. Qualifications Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.Effective collaboration across cross-functional teams.Adaptable to changing business needs and priorities.Experience with Financial Tools: Excel (advanced), Power BI, and similar platforms.Experience with Business Tools: Microsoft Visio, SharePoint, ServiceNow.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Operations Research, Mathmatics, Computer Science, Cost Accounting or related scientific or technical discipline PLUS 5 Years of experienceEight (8) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education

 

Clearance: 

The ability to pass a Tier 2/Moderate Background Investigation 

 

Location:

Remote, USAMonday - Friday (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM CST)

 

Pay Range:

The pay for this position ranges from $45,730 to $59,500The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and locationAlso, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonusesTISTA associates are eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits plan!
