Job Summary
The Vail Resorts Marketing and Guest Services Applications team is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join us! The Senior Business Analyst will report to the Senior Program Manager and is responsible for representing the voice of the business for our applications from requirements gathering through to development, testing and release. They own the team intake form and process, and they work with stakeholders to ensure all submissions have full acceptance criteria. They partner with the Senior Program Manager, Dev Lead, Developers, QA and Project Managers to solution when needed, gather and document requirements, and prioritize application backlogs.

Job Responsibilities
• Ensure operational and project intake requests are assessed and replied to in a timely manner
• Gather and document business and functional requirements for all operational and project intake requests
• Assess severity/priority of production issues, determine business impact, and communicate progress during resolution
• Collaborate with stakeholders, cross-functional IT partners, and internal team members to validate requirements and assess impacts
• Own and perform story pointing and backlog prioritization
• Adhere to QA Life Cycle by developing test plans and test scripts, documenting test results, reporting on results and managing UAT while coordinating testing with business partners
• Willingness to work across multiple teams in an open and collaborative way to design holistic solutions in a fast-paced environment
• Identify and socialize opportunities to improve integration and support by working with internal teams, within and outside of the IT department
• Actively participate and take personal ownership in your career development through self-assessments, mid-year and annual reviews, goal setting and performance management
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent in related job experience
• Minimum of 5 years of IT Business Analyst and/or related experience
• Strong requirements gathering, documentation and analytical skills using Confluence and Sharepoint
• Effective communication skills; listening, written and verbal; ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience with the Microsoft Office suite including, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Experience creating user stories and tasks in Jira
• Experience in hybrid, waterfall, and agile SDLC environments
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced and complex environment as a part of a team (IT, Business and Vendors)
• Ability to solve a wide range of technical problems of diverse scope and complexity
• Ability to follow up consistently to ensure resolution
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working in a marketing applications IT environment
• Experience working with various IT toolsets and a matrixed organization
• Familiarity with XML, FTP, and APIs
• Familiarity with mobile application development, enterprise data warehouses, and cloud infrastructure
• Experience with SmartSheet
• PMI-BA, PMI-ACP, IIBA, PSPO, POPM or other accredited certification or coursework is a plus
The expected Total Compensation for this role is $92,396.70 - $115,000 + annual bonus. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
