Senior Business Analyst
UNIVERSAL Technologies is seeking a Senior Business Analyst for a hybrid role based in Brooklyn, NY. Candidates must have an active LinkedIn profile and be willing to work onsite in Brooklyn 2 days per week and remotely for 3 days per week. Position: The Senior Business Analyst will act as a bridge between business units and IT, managing requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation to support major software upgrades and process improvements. This role requires strong expertise in business process design, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to create comprehensive Business Requirements Documents (BRDs). The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, organized, and adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. WHAT WE OFFER: Our W2 employees can expect the following benefits: + Competitive pay + Health/Dental Insurance + Group Life Insurance + 401K + HSA/FSA + Pre-Tax Transportation Program + Generous Paid Time Off/Holiday Policy SCOPE OF SERVICES: As a Senior Business Analyst, your responsibilities will include: + Engaging stakeholders to define business needs, conduct process reviews, and develop solution designs for complex initiatives. + Conducting gap analyses and creating Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), user stories, and acceptance criteria. + Facilitating cross-functional design sessions to optimize solution strategies. + Supporting testing cycles, including UAT, regression, and system testing, with detailed test plans, scripts, and results validation. + Acting as a subject matter expert (SME) for the business processes you support. + Developing "To-Be" and "As-Is" process diagrams and recommending areas for standardization, automation, and reengineering. + Managing multiple priorities in Agile development environments, ensuring timely and effective task completion. + Contributing to all phases of the SDLC and supporting change initiatives by analyzing customer feedback and optimizing workflows. + Participating in Sprint Demos and providing hands-on production support. MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Candidates must meet the following qualifications: + 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst. + Strong analytical skills, including the ability to use data and metrics for decision-making. + Proficiency in managing priorities in an Agile development environment. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong attention to detail. + Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into technical requirements. + Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using Waterfall and/or Agile methodologies. + Familiarity with JIRA and Agile development processes. + Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Project, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint. + Proven ability to define test scenarios, develop test plans, and support QA and UAT processes. + Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to shifting priorities. + Superb interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills. + Ability to work independently and deliver strategic solutions. DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: + Experience implementing enterprise systems or replacing legacy systems. + Experience with Salesforce configuration. + Scrum and Product Owner experience. + Strong knowledge of user-centered design and human factors principles.
