Senior Business Analyst

UST are looking for a Senior Business Analyst who has worked in the retail sector with a strong understanding of finance processes.

Location (Remote with the occasional travel to client site)

Duration 6-month FTC or Inside of IR35

Key Responsibilities:

•         Analyze and evaluate business processes across retail operations, ensuring alignment with financial objectives.

•         Conduct thorough assessments of current business systems and identify gaps, inefficiencies, or opportunities for improvement.

•         Collaborate with stakeholders from various departments (Retail Operations, Finance, IT) to gather, document, and analyze business requirements.

•         Facilitate workshops, interviews, and discussions to understand business needs and translate them into detailed requirements.

•         Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to support business case development, budgeting, and decision-making.

•         Support the finance team by ensuring business requirements are in line with financial models and profitability goals.

•         Work closely with technical teams to design solutions that address both business and financial needs.

•         Develop and maintain reporting tools and dashboards to track key retail and financial metrics.

•         Provide actionable insights based on data analysis to improve operational efficiency and financial performance.

•         Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on business goals, project progress, and financial performance.

•         Present findings, updates, and recommendations to senior management in clear and concise formats.

•         Assist in integrating financial systems with retail operations to streamline processes, improve inventory management, and drive profitability.

•         Ensure that financial goals and KPIs are aligned with retail performance metrics.

•         Support project management teams by ensuring that business and financial requirements are well-defined and adhered to throughout project lifecycles.

•         Track and report on project progress, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.

What you will bring

•         Experience as a Business Analyst within the Retail domain, with a strong understanding of finance-related processes.

•         Hands-on experience in gathering business requirements, financial analysis, and working with cross-functional teams to implement business solutions.

•         In-depth knowledge of retail operations, financial analysis, and how they integrate.

•         Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

•         Solid understanding of financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis will be an advantage.

•         Proficient in using business analysis tools, reporting software, and data analytics platforms (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, etc.).

•         Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with cross-functional teams.

•         Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to present complex concepts to diverse audiences.
