Job Description

What it's all about: 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Process Automation Expert to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in using data to analyse process pain points and deliver improvements using appropriate automation software and tools.

This role requires the individual to have hands-on experience in automating workflows using Power Apps, RPA, and related technologies.

As a technical specialist, you will engage with colleagues from different functions and become the ‘go to’ expert in simplifying processes through connected workflows and automating process steps. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in driving our organization's automation and AI initiatives in transforming our processes to achieve greater efficiency and effectiveness.

Key responsibilities: 

Identify automation opportunities across cross-functional processes and recommend appropriate solutions that drive significant improvements in user experience, operational efficiency, and process velocity Influence senior leaders by developing impactful proof of concept solutions, and by communicating technical concepts in a clear and concise manner Design, build, and integrate workflow and automation tools with existing systems and processes. Optimize to ensure they meet business goals and performance metrics Support and supervise third party contractors in the execution of process automation projectsCollaborate and sustain high-trust relationships with project stakeholders through robust project management, documentation, and communication

Reports to the Head of Data Science for Internal Clients in Europe

Hybrid work arrangement: 

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 3 set days a week (Tuesday - Thursday), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.  

 

Qualifications

What we’re after…  

Extensive experience in data science and analytical functions Graduate/Post Graduate degree (Masters or Ph.D.) in Quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Operational Research, Computer Science, Economics, or engineering or equivalent experience  Results oriented with strong analytical, consultative, and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor Hands-on experience with modern distributed systems, including both Hadoop/SQL and Apache Spark Hands-on experience with one or more data analytics/programming tools such as R/Python Experience in the application of predictive modelling and machine learning technique to business problems  Experience planning, organizing, and managing end to end projects with diverse cross-functional teams Ability to communicate with impact with a senior business audience and experience of having worked in a consulting-like environment and client-facing project roles  

Preferred Qualifications 

Experience working in payments industry (bank, credit reference agencies, Fintech) or management-consulting firm.  Hands on experience on processing extremely large data sets. Knowledge of payment network transactional data is a plus  Deep understanding of Payments and Banking Industry including Consumer Credit, Consumer debit, Prepaid, Small Business, Commercial, Co-Brand and Merchant Experience building and cultivating teamsTeam oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible style, with the ability to tailor data driven results to various audience levels  Proven skills in translating analytics output to actionable recommendations and delivery Fluency in English
