Department Summary:
MITRE’s Department of Strategic Management Systems within the Enterprise Strategy and Transformation Center works in partnerships across government agencies to establish management practices needed to achieve mission success.

As our Enterprise Business Strategist, you will contribute to a team that provides technical consulting in the area of strategic management.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Assist government leaders in defining the vision and determining the direction of change through a period of major government transformation.Assist government agencies in strategic visioning, planning and execution toward the desired future state guiding the organization and employees through the necessary changes to bring the plan to successful fruition.Work with government leaders to translate their mission, vision, goals, and strategies into actionable programs within a coherent concept of operations.Contribute to the development of agency-wide or government-wide strategic and transition planning activities.Work with junior team members, assist in identifying appropriate engagements for them, guide / support their professional development.Work with teams to establish enterprise governance with associated practices and mechanisms.Participate in recruiting efforts to identify and secure top talent.Help develop performance management plans; defining metrics, sourcing valid data, and using the information to evaluate progress and determine future investment of time and resources.Participate in the analysis of the current state and support the design of objective future business operations for federal departments and agencies to aid Government decision making.Basic Qualifications:
Typically Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Information Systems Management or other related disciplines and 5 years of related experience; or a Master’s and 3 years with related experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.Must be a US citizen with ability of obtaining and maintaining a US government clearance.Hands on proficiency defining performance metrics, sourcing valid data, and using the information to evaluate progress and determine future investment of time and resources.Ability to conduct research and present findings and recommendations that effectively communicate key messages.Significant experience developing teams & talent.This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site.Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree/ MBAPreference given to qualified candidates with active clearance.Federal consulting experience5 + years related experience, including 2 years of leadershipExperience in convening stakeholders to address critical challenges in (1) climate and environmental change impact, (2) domestic and global security and resiliency, and/or (3) national and international cybersecurity challenges, system vulnerabilities and designing and implementing mitigations to maintain highest levels of security.This requisition requires the candidate to have a minimum of the following clearance(s):
