Position SummaryThe Senior Business Assistant, reporting to the Plant Manager, will be responsible for working directly with the various plant departments in all areas of the facility. This role will be the primary contact for all payroll and recruiting activities for the facility. The Senior Business Assistant/Payroll Admin will also provide administrative support by handling information requests, and performing clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls, and scheduling meetings and events.
ResponsibilitiesPreparing reports, memos, letters, and other documents as neededPerforming general office duties such as ordering suppliesMaintaining records management database systems and retentionEntering data for plant related activities (distributing weekly reports topics, month end reporting etc.)Responsible for ensuring that all plant administrative processes are up to date and in compliance with corporate and plant policies and proceduresMaintaining all payroll operations according to company policy and proceduresAnswers payroll related questions from teammates, supervisors, and other leaders; address discrepanciesResponsible for coordinating all recruiting activities for hourly and salaried open positions (screen candidates, coordinate interviews, etc.)Miscellaneous Duties:Answering phone calls and direct calls to appropriate parties or take messagesAnalyzing incoming mail, memos, submissions, and reports to determine their significance and plan their distributionPerforming other related duties and projects as assigned.Typically requires a minimum of 2-4 years of related experience
