Job Title: Senior Business Developer - French, Spanish, and Italian Markets

Role Overview: 


We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Developer to drive growth and spearhead our expansion efforts across French, Spanish, and Italian markets. Reporting directly to the E-commerce leadership team, this strategic role will focus on business development initiatives that drive our market presence, partnerships, and revenue in these key regions. Based in London, you will work cross-functionally with teams across the organization to build and execute a winning strategy, identify local market opportunities, and nurture partnerships that strengthen our position as the top e-commerce destination for contact lenses. 

 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

Strategic Market Development  Develop, execute, and optimize business plans for France, Spain, and Italy, identifying key opportunities for growth and market penetration in each country.  Conduct in-depth market analysis to understand trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape, adapting strategies to align with local dynamics.  Collaborate with marketing, product, and analytics teams to tailor our offering and messaging to resonate with regional audiences. 

 

Partnership Building and Management  Identify, evaluate, and establish strategic partnerships with local stakeholders, including optical retailers, healthcare providers, and influencers.  Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with partners to drive co-marketing, loyalty programs, and customer acquisition initiatives.  Work closely with partners to implement joint promotional strategies and assess impact, ensuring alignment with Vision Direct & Lenstore’s growth objectives.

 

Growth Initiatives and Project Management  Lead end-to-end growth initiatives, from concept through to execution, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.  Utilize data-driven insights to identify customer acquisition channels and improve conversion rates, retention, and lifetime value in each market.  Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track success, make data-informed decisions, and adapt strategies as needed. 

 

Cross-functional Collaboration and Leadership  Act as the key contact for cross-functional teams, ensuring smooth coordination across departments and clear communication of regional priorities.  Collaborate with local and global marketing teams to develop localized campaigns and tailor product offerings to meet the specific needs of each market.  Report regularly to the E-commerce leadership team on progress, insights, and recommendations for growth in French, Spanish, and Italian markets. 

 

Requirements: 

 

Experience: 5+ years in business development, e-commerce, or related fields, preferably with experience in the healthcare, optical, or consumer goods industry.  Market Knowledge: Proven expertise in the French, Spanish, and Italian markets, including an understanding of customer behavior, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment.  Language Skills: Fluent in English and at least one of the following languages: French, Spanish, or Italian (multilingual proficiency is a plus).  Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-informed decisions.  Results-Driven: Proven track record of driving revenue and growth through business development and partnership strategies.  Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to build relationships across diverse teams and cultures.  Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong sense of initiative and ownership.
