The Global Business Development team is a dynamic, innovative, and strategic team within the Autodesk worldwide sales organization, focused on fueling growth with the company’s largest, enterprise customers and scaling growth with the ecosystems of our customers. The team is driving demand for Autodesk solutions in the marketplace through actionable industry thought leadership and strategic business development programs that make our technology a unique fit for industry challenges. The Senior Business Development Executive is a strategic role in the sales organization that directly interfaces with large Architecture, Engineering and Construction customers and their ecosystem supply chains consisting of both Public and Private asset owners, Governments, Industry Associations and the downstream supply chain.
This work falls into two broad categories, “fueling growth” with our largest named accounts through actionable industry thought leadership and “scaling growth” through business programs across industry sectors. The Business Development Executive influences the decision makers at our largest clients and with the owners of projects and puts Autodesk in the middle of our customers' supply chains, positively impacting named accounts, mid-market, and territory clients. This role identifies, develops, and executes business development initiatives supporting the sales organization's and the overall GTM needs.
This is a remote position in the United States reporting to the Sr. Manager of Global Business Development.
Responsibilities
Develop, execute and manage ecosystem strategic programs to influence the customers of our customers, and the supply chains of our customers
Influence customer business initiatives and decision-makers through actionable thought leadership
Develop essential and effective relationships with executive-level / senior-level AEC customers and personas
Translate customer business initiatives, challenges, and opportunities into unique business value for Autodesk, ensuring the Autodesk team delivers Business Value to their client account(s)
Perform as the "Thought Leader" for the transportation industry and represent Autodesk, Autodesk technology, and Autodesk interests with customers, industry associations, Autodesk events, and conferences
Drive strategic imperatives to maximize the impact of Autodesk customers on the entire industry ecosystem
Assist Autodesk teams in achieving growth and revenue targets with existing and new customers; work closely with Autodesk account teams, on identifying and qualifying ecosystem opportunities
Development and execution of repeatable plays and insights to Autodesk account teams across all tiers
Work closely with Industry Strategy and Product teams and provide information valuable to their strategy
Influence decision makers in the transportation ecosystem including key Autodesk customers and both public and private owners’ organizations
Drive adoption and growth of Autodesk solutions within this ecosystem through collaboration with Autodesk internal teams, Autodesk customers in all tiers, and other industry stakeholders
Represent Autodesk in relevant industry associations to build Autodesk awareness for transportation in a way that aligns Autodesk with those items relevant to the owners’ organizations
Minimum Qualifications
10+ years’ experience working in the AECO industry + sales or business development experience
Specific civil/transportation experience is desired
Government and public sector experience a plus
Strong project and engagement management skills with a demonstrable history of effective projects
Previous experience working with industry associations, holding positions of influence in an association preferred
Credible and experienced with business & technology trends in Transportation
Experienced with, and able to present digital transformation and platform use cases
A proven track record in attaining results as part of a team
Travel: 25%

Business Acumen: Knowledge of business concepts to enable sound decisions and business change in the context of our customer’s business outcomes and Autodesk growth

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $148,200 and $239,800. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.Sales Careers
