Role Description
As the Senior Business Development Manager, you will contribute to the success of the Company by identifying and executing new partnership opportunities and contributing to the growth of the portfolio through acquisition of new customers in Bank, Broker and Direct distribution channels.
Key Responsibilities
As a member of a highly motivated team, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
Representing Allianz Trade value propositions to generate new business and maximize sustainable growth opportunities. Developing and implementing distribution strategy to maintain and grow strong long-term relationships. Identifying, designing and negotiating appropriate trade credit insurance solution specific to the clients’ risk appetite and business objectives. Understand and leverage, the wider capabilities of Allianz multiline of business to identify cross- and up-selling opportunities. Providing partners / prospects market intelligences in terms of trading, insolvency and sector risk insights on a regular basis. Consistently ensuring the delivery of market excellent service and finest customer experience. Working collaboratively with stakeholders from internal and external, to influence and drive desired results. Discipline with purpose to ensure profitability and quality of the customer portfolio, ensuring proper pricing and compliance with the underwriting guidelines. Demonstrating the Allianz People Attributes (Trust, Entrepreneurship, Customer and Market Excellence and Collaborative Leadership).
Key Requirements
This role requires a diligent team player who can demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills, be comfortable in presenting:
A proven customer-centricity profile with a passion to provide high quality services; Minimum 8 years’ experience dealing with Trade Credit Insurance, or Trade Finance or Trade; Influencing and negotiation skills to deal with C-suite or business owner; Proven ability to deliver on agreed business targets; Conversant with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Outstanding oral and written communication skills in English, Mandarin and Cantonese; A high level of professionalism and reliability and an ability to work with minimal guidance; Business-related discipline, Chartered Financial Analyst® charterholders is preferred; Solid corporate sales experience or a new business focus is preferred; Experienced in working for a multicultural environment a definite advantage.
