Senior Business Development Manager
Senior Business Development Manager Fully Remote Job Type Full-time Description Colossal Contracting LLC is looking for a proven Senior Business Development Manager with strong relationships within the federal IT industry. This individual may have to report to our Annapolis, MD HQ but accommodations can be made for remote work. Ideal candidates will have significant experience working within the federal space with various agencies but will have specifically worked extensively with the federal government. Requirements + Thorough understanding of the federal market, its customers and the ability to think strategically and champion future opportunities for Colossal. + Maintain and strengthen our customer relations within the federal government. + Executes long term business and marketing strategies. + Develop, maintain, and update the pipeline of new opportunities for federal sales efforts. + Prepare for and present opportunities for bid decisions and pipeline reviews. + Directs a sales plan to establish and cultivate long term relationships with key client officials. + Seeks opportunities to strengthen client relationships. + Requires a demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and deal with top level customer, company and other personnel. + Develop capture strategy including business solutions for pursuit of opportunities + Identify potential customers, competitive assessments, teaming suppliers, and prices-to-win, and participate in bid and proposal activities + Provides leadership and guidance to proposal team from inception to completion. + Lead the early development of win strategies during Identification phase, prior to assignment to Capture Manager. + Understands and responds to potential clients' needs and objectives. + Oversees the development of the pricing structure, as well as other contract terms and conditions. + Must possess working knowledge of federal architecture requirements, and federal procurement frameworks. + Identifies potential clients within area of specialty and develops sales strategy. + Acts as sponsor during project execution. + Keeps abreast of national/international political and economic conditions. + Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. Required Education and Experience + 10+ years of proven success developing business within the federal government. + Extensive experience and key contacts within targeted federal agencies. + Demonstrated creativity and ingenuity in developing successful strategies for business growth. + Ability to develop a strategic sales account plan in conjunction with the overall corporate strategic plan. + Ability to create and deliver powerful and effective presentations. + Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office, Salesforce. + Ability to obtain a government clearance Travel Travel may be required periodically for this position. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday 8:30am-5pm.
