Senior Business Development Manager - Semi-Conductor & Electronics:
The Senior Business Development Manager will develop, implement, and execute strategic plans to retain and grow sales of Univar Solutions’ products and services in the Semi-Conductor and Electronics markets – an important focus area for the Company. The person in this role will bring technical knowledge and a consultative approach to build long term partnerships with and provide forward and proactive communication, training, and collaboration across different lines of business and the various General Managers. This role will also be engaged in with the vendor base along with leading and guiding Districts to areas of opportunity.
What You'll Do:
Customer-facing Activities
As needed, represent Univar Solutions at all levels of the customer. Sell the full value of Univar Solutions as a partner to the customer. Coordinate impactful supplier meetings and joint sales calls at key/target customers. Review opportunities and coordinate efforts with the local sales organization to win new business. Assist in Business Development efforts via development of effective proposals and presentations. Identify new service/product opportunities by monitoring industry/market changes, innovations, and emerging customer needs Assist in navigating or leading with entities who are customer/supplier partners.Supplier-facing Activities:
Manage communication and partnership with supplier technical resources to help drive business results. Attend product training / continuing education / industry update meetings to enhance skills and knowledgebase. Provide feedback on technical aspects of products, new market intelligence, and marketplace dynamics. Identify share loss and develop joint plans to recapture business. Assist in qualification of potential new suppliers / products to enhance the Semi-Conductor / Electronics line card. Identify potential products for focused marketing campaigns. Target and develop new supplier relationships. Assist in navigating or leading with entities who are customer/supplier partners.Internal-facing Activities:
Deliver relevant and impactful product and industry training to all Sales and Sales support teams. Develop and deliver training to our focused sales team. Manage and execute campaigns to achieve market potential. Monitor and track opportunity pipelines. Originate and participate in all industry related meeting / teleconferences. Provide expertise in support of Supplier/Customer contract negotiations as needed. Assist in business plan development – including development of goals and forecasts. Support all aspects of development of business opportunities, targets, prospecting, and problem-solving recommendations. Coordinate activities with specialty labs as needed. Assist in navigating or leading with entities who are customer/supplier partners.Market-facing, Trade Show Activities:
Participate in tradeshows (national & local) and Industry conference/meetings ; website info, literature development Ability to credibly present sales/technical information at Semi-Conductor / Electronics conferences and or customer sales calls, as needed.What You'll Need:
A BS degree in Business, Chemistry, Professional Selling or Engineering Prior experience in and exposure to the semi-conductor industry in all areas of the plant / FAB. Working knowledge of chemical distribution. Working knowledge of water treatment chemistries. Demonstrated understanding local markets/trends and products relevant to the Semi-conductor / Electronics industry.
