We're looking for a motivated and driven Senior Business Development Manager who will help us grow our business, foster our long-lasting partnerships, and drive the company to the next level.
Your Tasks – Paint the world green You work with the Team Lead of Marketplace, managing and forming relationships with intercity bus operators who partner with FlixBus to offer integrated ticketing and seamless connections across our nation-wide network You take on any tasks and projects needed to maintain and grow FlixBus’s business in the US & Canada You identify new business opportunities and are accountable for delivering on our growth targets by presenting our business model, negotiating contracts, and ultimately securing new partnerships while simultaneously managing the accounts of the partnerships that you secure You independently take on projects that further the company’s strategic goals and gracefully navigate complex negotiations You develop processes to optimize business flows and coordinate a variety of projects, ensuring the interactions between departments are fluid and results are delivered in a timely manner You work cross-functionally with teams including Operations, Planning, Government Relations, Legal, and Finance in their joint work with the Business Development team You manage and optimize our contract processes, demonstrating a keen understanding of our legal partnership structures You analyze various internal and external data sources to help our team develop a deeper understanding of both internal KPIs and those of the broader intercity bus industry, helping shape and focus future efforts Your work is always customer driven and promotes a strong customer experience Your Profile – Ready to hop on board You have at least 5 years previous experience as a high performer in a Business Development organization signing multi-million $ partnerships, in a highly cross-functional matrix organization Willingness to travel 25% of time Previous experience in Account Management or a client-facing role; consulting or tech background a plus Previous experience in the transportation industry, at a technology platform, or with government agencies is preferred but not mandatory You can work autonomously while delivering and executing against ambitious targets Excellence in account management, negotiation, and project management You have implemented best practices in sales and account management including implementation of processes and tools to support in the successful delivery of multi-million dollar deals You strive for excellence, take ownership, and have a disciplined and organized approach You apply intellectual honesty and radical transparency to establish a feedback culture You are an excellent communicator, both verbal and written French fluency a plus Comfortable in a startup environment: entrepreneurial spirit, full of ambition, analytically-minded, data-driven, and not afraid of rapid change,.// Able to work collaboratively within and across teams Our Perks – More than just a jobYour well being is important to us.
