We are seeking a European Senior Business Intelligence Analyst with a strong background in advanced analytics and data-driven insight production, leveraging Microsoft technologies to support strategic decision-making.
This role will report directly to the Global Manager of Business Intelligence.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience working with global business teams, particularly in enhancing data-driven decision-making across various functions. This role requires expertise in designing and implementing robust business intelligence solutions within the Microsoft ecosystem, ensuring seamless data integration and efficient processing.
Candidates should have deep proficiency in developing and deploying scalable data models and analytics solutions, including Azure Synapse, Power BI, and Azure Data Factory. Experience managing the full data lifecycle—from ingestion, transformation, and modelling to visualization and presentation of actionable insights to senior leadership—is essential.
Required skills include project management, process optimization, data analytics, reporting, and advanced data management. The candidate should demonstrate proficiency in managing complex data environments and driving improvements that enhance data quality and reliability.
Strong communication skills are crucial for effectively supporting various stakeholders, including executives, managers, and data teams, in understanding and utilizing analytics outputs. The ability to create and socialize dynamic reporting solutions, such as interactive dashboards, performance metrics, and trend analyses, is also necessary.
Experience with migrating existing BI solutions from legacy systems to modern platforms is a plus. The candidate should be comfortable with data migration strategies, automation, and integrating new technologies to streamline business intelligence processes.
Knowledge of the Microsoft data ecosystem and its integration with other enterprise tools, including an understanding of system interactions, is desirable. Familiarity with ERP systems and their integration with BI platforms is also beneficial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with global business leaders to define BI requirements and translate them into effective analytics solutions.
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable data models and reporting solutions using Microsoft technologies.
- Manage and optimize data environments to ensure high data quality and accessibility.
- Lead projects involving data migration from legacy BI systems to modern platforms, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption.
- Develop dynamic and interactive dashboards and reports that support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
- Present findings and insights to senior leadership, providing actionable recommendations based on data analysis.
- Continuously improve BI processes and tools to enhance efficiency, scalability, and data reliability.
- Stay updated on the latest BI tools and technologies within the Microsoft ecosystem and provide strategic input on their adoption.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Extensive experience in business intelligence and data analytics, with a strong focus on Microsoft tools and platforms.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience in the field of business intelligence and analytics.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing BI solutions using tools such as Power BI, Azure Synapse, and Azure Data Factory.
- Strong knowledge of data modelling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
- Excellent project management skills, with experience in leading complex data migration projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience with automation of reporting and data processes is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and their integration with BI platforms is a plus.
