The Experience + Devices (E+D) Strategy & Growth team is seeking a results-driven Senior Business Manager who is passionate about organizational effectiveness and operational excellence. We are seeking a motivated **Senior Business Manager** to serve as a force multiplier, to elevate the organization and help the team work better together. This role requires the ability to think at a programmatic level and drive clarity, efficiency and consistency across team processes and operations. We’re looking for an ambitious self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and effectively manages priorities while working and building relationships with leaders.
As a member of this team, you’ll have unique visibility into a key Microsoft business and the opportunity to drive impact across the E+D organization. You will manage the organization’s business operations, executive communication and engagement plans, and develop business processes and programs to achieve strategic objectives and priorities. The ideal candidate has experience working in fast-paced, high impact environments, and demonstrates skills in executive presence, stakeholder management, communication, and project/program management.

**Responsibilities**
**Rhythm of Business**
+ Leverage knowledge of the CVP’s goals and business approach to ensure business activities are aligned with the CVP’s objectives.
+ Develop and execute the Rhythm of Business (ROB), collaborating with senior leaders to achieve key outcomes and align organizational objectives with overarching goals.
+ Build workback schedules and plan content reviews for team meetings, events and communications including executive comms, newsletters, all-hands meetings and presentations.
+ Manage agendas and deadlines forleadership and business review cadences, including LT syncs, leadership community syncs, product and strategy reviews, and org-level check-ins.
**Business** **Planning**
+ Drive the annual planning and budget process, supporting the team with templates and workback schedules to effectively document, communicate and manage the process.
+ Partner with Finance and senior leadership to design, approve, and manage budgets and forecasting plans.
+ Collaborate with leaders on resource management planning and align headcount strategy with organizational objectives.
+ Support people management as needed, and lead the implementation of organizational changes, including employee data management and skilling plans.
+ Ensure business conduct is compliant, including processes, training, purchasing and hiring.
+ Actively participate in org Business Manager forums, gathering and sharing critical information with the Leadership Team to ensure that the team has the necessary information to meet key deadlines and make decisions.
+ Identify operational gaps and opportunities to streamline and create new efficient processes.
+ Mentor others in the execution of tactics to support overall business operations strategy.
**Organizational Health**
+ Monitor organization health and support team leaders in responding to culture issues and leading culture initiatives (e.g., Diversity and Inclusion [D&I], hiring, onboarding).
+ Manage the executive summary reporting of bi-annual Employee Signals, including communication of results and oversight of the action plan to deliver improvement on scores.
+ Optimizeprocesses to deliver improvements that are sustainable, more productive and scalable.
**Communications**
+ Create and lead communications strategy and planning efforts designedto provide visibility and transparency on key developments and notable events for the organization.
+ Support leaders by sourcing and curatingexecutive-level presentations and messagingtailored to a variety of internal and external audiences, ensuring alignment with business goals.
+ Scale messages appropriately for a given effort, including expertise in the levers to use to achieve scale and planning for scale from the outset. Embed diversity and inclusion (D&I) throughout strategy and execution.
**Strategy Execution & Activation **
+ Synthesize information into actionable insights to inform business decisions, providing strategic advice and fostering leadership influence.
+ Utilize relationships and key partnerships to influence strategic decisions, ensure alignment, and support leadership initiatives.
**Special Projects & Programs**
+ Lead cross-functional projects to address evolving business needs and drive complex initiatives. Examples include investment requests, resource rebalancing, efficiency initiatives and geography strategy.
+ May serve as a project/program manager to ensure successful execution of strategic efforts requiring coordination across multiple disciplines and business units

**Qualifications**
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 6+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ 3+ years experience in writing and designing executive-level communications.

Business Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $115,000 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $146,200 - $219,200 per year.
