Summary
APS is seeking a highly skilled Business Operations Analyst Senior to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for writing user stories, conducting user acceptance testing (UAT), providing data analysis, troubleshooting issues, and offering production support for the website and mobile app. This role requires a strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of user-centric digital products.
Key Responsibilities:
• Write User Stories & Requirements: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and translate business requirements into clear, actionable agile user stories and acceptance criteria for website and mobile app features.
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Develop and execute test cases based on user stories to ensure that new features meet business needs and quality standards. Coordinate with developers and end-users to resolve issues found during testing.
• Problem Solving & Implementation: Identify, analyze, and resolve issues affecting the website and app, including functional defects, performance problems, or usability concerns. Collaborate with technical teams to implement fixes.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Gather, analyze, and interpret data related to website and app usage, user behavior, and performance metrics. Provide insights and recommendations to improve user experience and optimize functionality.
• Production Support: Offer timely support for production issues, ensuring the website and app run smoothly and meet user expectations. Work with the technical team to resolve critical issues quickly and efficiently.
• Continuous Improvement: Suggest enhancements to improve operational efficiency, user satisfaction, and the overall digital experience. Participate in sprint planning and backlog grooming activities to ensure alignment with business goals.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, developers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and a shared understanding of business needs and project timelines.

Minimum Requirements
+ BS/BA equivalency or an equivalent combination of four years relevant work experience and relevant college coursework in business, information technology or a related area. An additional five (5) years of progressively responsible experience where strong understanding of business unit operations, business unit systems, database design, structure, functions and work processes and experience with database tools is obtained.
+ Previous experience with the systems specific to the business area may also be required. Demonstrated knowledge of business processes and operational knowledge including functions, procedures, processes, and computer systems.
+ Ability to identify process improvement opportunities, gaps, data analysis and recommended solutions which tie functional needs to technology solutions. Demonstrated project/team experience and ability to prioritize work.
+ Ability to review data, see relationships and patterns, as well as possess strong analytical, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Experience in managing projects and identifying and resolving issues. Expertise in PC applications including advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word.
+ Requires proficient knowledge of emerging practices and technologies used within the business area. Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and standards impacting business areas. Demonstrated communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred Skills:
+ Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) or app development frameworks.
+ Experience with issue tracking tools (e.g., Azure Dev Ops) and version control systems.
+ Understanding of A/B testing and experimentation methodologies.
Major Accountabilities
+ User story writing, requirement documentation, and acceptance criteria.
+ Execute, document, and report on User Acceptance Testing.
+ Problem solve, troubleshoot and resolve website and application issues.
+ Analyze and report on user data utilizing web and app analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc.)
+ Pull data with SQL, then manipulate and clearly present with Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
+ Utilize Agile methodology and participate in sprint cycles.
+ Work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
+ Understand website and app performance metrics, SEO best practices, and user experience (UX) principles.
