The Didipio mine is located on Luzon Island in the Philippines and is the Company’s only asset that produces both gold and copper. Didipio was built by OceanaGold in 2013 and operates fully as underground mine, with over 800 employees that support the mine.
The Senior Business Partner Procurement will supervise and manage the procurement team, ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services at optimal costs, in line with company policies and procedures. This role involves delivering in accordance with OceanaGold procurement guidelines, applying strategic sourcing, and negotiating contracts with suppliers to ensure high-risk and high-expenditure goods are contracted efficiently.
This role is based in the OGPI offices in Makati on a Monday – Friday schedule.
Key accountabilities:
Work closely with stakeholders to understand technical and commercial needs.Develop category strategies and conduct market research and ensure compliance with legislation and ethical guidelines.Collaborate with Supply Chain, Logistics, and Warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations.Support the finance department in resolving supplier payment challenges.Manage supplier relationships to ensure on-time delivery and meet quality requirements.Oversee the development of procurement strategies and monitor vendor performance.Identify areas for improvement within the team and lead training programs to enhance skills.Manage risks associated with procurement processes and ensure compliance with standards.Analyse procurement costs and develop strategies for cost savings and service improvement.Manage the setup of contracts and track procurement metrics.Build strong relationships with preferred suppliers to ensure quality and timely deliveries.Play a key role in enhancing the procurement process through data analytics, market insights, and effective vendor management.QualificationsBachelor degree in Law, Accountancy, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.Minimum of 5 years in procurement management at a supervisory or managerial level; experience in the mining industry is highly desirable.MBA, CPA, or relevant board certification preferred. PASIA Certification or equivalent (e.g., Certified Strategic Sourcing Professional, Certified Supply Planning Professional) desirable but not required.Strong understanding of contract and tender management, procurement processes, and strategic sourcing.Strong financial, numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills.Excellent planning, organizing, and management abilities.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and PowerBI.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Professional work ethic and attention to detail.Additional InformationWHAT'S ON OFFER:
