Principal responsibilities
Responsibility for working with teams across Wealth Premier Solutions (WPS), Finance, Operations, GPBW COO, and Retail Banking to create, submit and track against cost plans as part of the FRP process and ensuring accurate forecasts against plan are maintained on an ongoing basis through the financial year.Complete the Annual FRP process for costs with thoroughness and appropriate scrutiny. Document all assumptions and obtain signoffs from key stakeholders to ensure the process runs smoothly and reflects business changes.Complete required deep dive analysis on cost lines / themes to enable the identification of potential cost saving opportunities and / or improve transparency and understanding of WPS Retail Banking cost base for both Direct and Indirect costs.Manage and implement robust controls for Cost and FTE management. Assist leadership with cost efficiency projects, including headcount and finance issues in collaboration with the GPBW Finance team, as well as Organisational Design reviews.Lead and manage Senior Cost Governance forums in WPS and attend as delegate to Global Senior Cost forums in GPBW as required. Maintain, implement and/or improve cost control processes.Support coordination of Business Management and other functions as well as maintain organizational design charts reflecting departmental structure correctly.Supporting MI production, data cleansing, optimization of processes and team structures; and producing high quality client-ready visual outputs / PPT materials.Accountability for managing Wealth Premier Solutions (WPS) Retail Banking headcount to within the Full Time Employee/Equivalent plan and supporting in maintaining Full Time Employee/Equivalent costs. Support FTE reporting by establishing a seamless weekly FTE review process.Support CAO leadership GPBW on cost, headcount, and finance matters in partnership with the GPBW Finance team. Proactively resolving any incorrect bookings in the ledger by working closely with finance and COO counterparts.Participate in meetings and escalate any issues/Challenges in a timely manner and propose solutions where required. Support on Cost efficiency projects and CTA programme cost reporting saves tracking. Interact with senior management confidently on a variety of topics.Some careers have more impact than others.
