Senior Business Program Manager, Startup Team

AWS Global Startups is seeking a driven, talented, and experienced Business and Employee Engagement Manager to play a critical role in the Startup organization that matches the energy and excitement of our customers. This role is important in leading employee engagement programs, mechanisms, and initiatives across the organization to realize AWS’s vision of being Earth’s Best Employer. As Business Manager, you will partner with leaders and organizations outside of your immediate team and will leverage resources from across AWS to create positive impact on our employees and culture. You will compile data and information that will influence senior-level decisions about our day-to-day business and our overall business rhythm. Successful candidates should have strong program management, analytical, organizational, and communication skills and a passion for product development and operational excellence. The candidate should be an effective collaborator across technical, operational, and business stakeholders, where productive bridges and connections will enable opportunities for teams to jointly optimize our work, get creative, and/or be scrappy and move fast when needed.
Key job responsibilities
• Drive All-Team Meetings and collaborate on leadership and management meetings as needed
• Collaborate with the Communications Manager to drive organization communications plans and messages
• Develop in partnership with senior leaders’ priorities and long-term plans for the organization
• Support critical organizational initiatives, including employee surveys, recognition, and engagement
• Create executive briefings highlighting key performance indicators across the business
• Develop strong, productive relationships across peer or matrixed organization to help AWS customers innovate faster and help the Startup organization meet our business objectives, identify gaps, and develop action plans to address those gaps
• Manage complex projects and programs while demonstrating exceptional business judgement
• Manage organizational roll-outs, including project plan development, tracking, status updates, and effective budget management
• Evangelize a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion; leverage existing materials and team/leadership inputs to implement successful engagements across the organization
