DPS is seeking a  Senior Business Subject Matter Expert (SME) with expertise in training, leading a training team, and curriculum development

Interviews are IN PERSON ONLY, no exceptions.   Resumes are due to the manager on Wednesday the 24th.  He has asked for six candidate resumes.  This position is critical and they are looking for highly qualified individuals. 

 

There will be two rounds of interviews. First round interviews will be held on 10/2 - 9, 10,11 am.   Second interviews will be scheduled after the selection is narrowed down.

The agency is seeking a Subject matter expert with a strong background in all aspects of training, to support and facilitate the development of a training plan, contribute to the creation of a training team, serve as the Lead for the team, provide direction for the development of a training curriculum including tools and technology selection, and possess the capacity to serve in an instructor role. This will be to support the rewrite of the Automated Title Processing System (ATPS Blue).

 

 

The Senior Business Subject Matter Expert (SME) brings proven experience from related businesses or organizations as well as system integration and technology experience. They consult with the client to define needs or problems, conduct research, perform studies and surveys to obtain data, and analyze problems to advise and make recommendations on business and technical solutions based on hands-on experience solving similar business problems.  They are able to utilize knowledge of theory, principles, or technology of specific discipline or field of specialization.

Years of Relevant Experience:

More than 10 years

Preferred Education:

4 year college degree in computer science or a related field with advanced study preferred; certifications specific to the field of project management.

Role Description

•Consults with executive-level stakeholders to define business need or problem; conducts research, performs studies and surveys to obtain data; and analyzes problems to advise on or recommend solutions, utilizing knowledge of theory, principles, or technology of specific discipline or field of specialization.

•Requires knowledge in computer programming and other related technical fields as well as extensive experience in a particular business or industry subject matter.

•Conducts study or survey on need or problem to obtain data required for solution.

•Analyzes data to determine solution, such as installation of alternate methods and procedures, changes in processing methods and practices, modification of machines or equipment, or redesign of products or services.

•Advises client or department heads on alternate methods of solving need or problem, or recommends specific solution.

•Requires experience providing consulting services to governmental entities. 

•May be designated according to field of business and technical specialization.

During the interview process with the ODPS staff, the resource consultant must demonstrate competence/experience in their specific area(s) of project assignment. The resource’s experience must also be documented for review and verification. Offered resources not showing technical or functional competence/experience will be sufficient reason to reject the Offeror’s proposal.  It is the responsibility of the Offeror to pre-screen their candidates to ensure compliance.
