Essential Job Functions:
The Senior Business Systems Analyst is responsible for the following functions:
Design, implement business processes in concordance with market best practices; encourage adoption and application in our different plants. Document business scenarios and coordinate training session with end users when needed. Define business systems requirements jointly working with management and professional staff in the organization. Proposed solutions must satisfy the business needs for the future, i.e., consider company growth and customer service objectives, and encourage standard solution in our application. Develop working relationships with a diverse group of businesspeople and gain an understanding of the complex nature of the company’s business. Maintain familiarity with the business plans of the company and the departments serviced. Remain knowledgeable of information technology and company business operations. Responsible for assisting business leaders in setting priorities within that functional area (Supply Chain, Warehouse management, Traceability) and work with IT Leadership to communicate with senior management. Responsible for identifying resources impacted by process changes and support adoption within our plants. Familiar with the scope and initiative objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member to effectively coordinate the activities of the work team, Maintain and address RAID list for small initiatives during weekly team meeting. Ensures adequate communication is maintained regarding all initiative’s status and priorities with business leaders. Develop detailed system design documentation which supports the system requirements. Conduct technical reviews and walk-through of IT design documentation with development and design team members. Identify Risks and Issues and address mitigation plan as needed. Build solutions proposal to satisfy business needs and system requirements, managing those solutions through the full software development life cycle. Provide support for designated application systems. Augment and facilitate the design, development, implementation of enhancements to existing business systems. Provide guidance in creating standards, testing procedures, version control, etc. Maintain a professional awareness of tools and techniques that might be used to improve the quality of service. Strong change management skills when managing a change through the full SDLC. Other duties as assigned
Product Management
Ensures all initiatives are managed in accordance to established GPI IT PMO governance practices (Market Standard practices), Foster cross-functional relationships inter- and intra-departmentally for effective initiative success, Track tasks and major milestones completion, Communicate to all stakeholders’ updates on initiative status, Requirements and RAID list management is a must.
Specialized or Technical Experience
3 to 5+ years’ experience supporting and customizing QAD or similar ERP application. Experience in Business Process design and maintenance is a must. Experience in Testing execution and documentation is a must. Experience in full SDLC from conception through support in Waterfall and Agile environment is a must. Experience in a production support role working in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Experience with ERP integration with other systems using various technologies. Knowledge of Functional, System, Integration, Unit and Regression testing Experience with Progress Open Edge ABL or other functional language is a plus. Experience with TailorPro, Pro2, and other QAD support tools are a plus.
Other Required Skills
Strong understanding of Manufacturing business operations and best practices. Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills. Self-starter Ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical coworkers and business partners. Work closely with members of various business functions
Education
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field. Equivalent work experience also considered.
Pay Range: $84,630.00 - $112,770.00
