Senior Buyer, Corporate Procurement
Responsibilities Spirit is seeking a Senior Buyer to come grow with us! The Senior Buyer role is responsible for the procurement of goods and services across a wide variety of commodity types – from creating purchase orders for IT to sourcing & tracking Ground Support Equipment (GSE) for Maintenance – this role gets tons of exposure! You’ll review and process purchase orders, source material for spot buys, manage PPE inventory levels, identify & execute on cost saving initiatives, manage RFQs & provide purchasing recommendations, and track critical purchase orders. Purchase Order Management: Quickly create purchase orders from requisitions to support a variety of internal customers. Continue managing the PO Lifecycle through tracking and delivery of material. Effectively manage key suppliers and track on time delivery of certain goods. Manage PPE Inventory: Ensure PPE inventory is at healthy levels; issue PO’s proactively to restock items. Manage the business partner relationship with our warehouse team. Sourcing: Expertly find alternative suppliers and source new commodities for a wide variety of internal stakeholders. Supplier Catalogs: Work with suppliers to create & maintain part catalogs hosted either by suppliers or Spirit. Find Cost Saving Opportunities: Analyze strategic opportunities to find and source vendors who are cost effective and perform efficiently in accordance with operational needs. Report these savings to leadership. Challenge the Status Quo: Bring forth new & creative ideas to drive positive changes resulting in gained efficiencies, cost savings, team dynamics, and overall company culture. Other: May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate (e.g., emergencies change in workload, rush jobs or technical developments) Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Supply Chain Management. 3-5 years' experience in an aviation procurement or aviation supply chain role; or 5-7 years' experience in a procurement or supply chain role. Experience using Microsoft Outlook & Excel. Experience working in Coupa (preferred). Skilled at analyzing data and providing actionable recommendations. Proficient and professional communication. Excellent attention to detail. An aptitude for negotiating. Thrives in a fast-paced enviornment.
