As the Senior Buyer you will play a crucial role in managing European Travel Program by sourcingwide range of services including car rental, hotels, airlines, taxis, etc. You will have a unique opportunity to work closely with global travel team and play a pivotal role in optimizing our travel procurement strategy.
Your expertise and passion for travel will ensure we continuously improve our travel program offerings while maintaining high standards and quality of service to our businesstravelers.
Your specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Management of the delivery of services for our travel agency, airlines, car rentals and hotels (regional or global as designated)
• Supplier Management - Manages interpersonal relationships with supplier staff - uses program measurements and reporting to gain improvements
• Responsible for managing European RFQ and RFP in alignment with GlobalTravel team
• Track cost savings on specific commodities – air, car, hotel, TMC asapplicable (via Savings Tracker and/or CI tools)
• Manage preferred TMC relationship ensuring SLA are maintained
• Review of new products and tools offered by agencies; Implementations of such tools as deemed appropriate in alignment with Global Travel team
• Alignment with key internal stakeholders to ensure quality service
• Asneeded negotiate with travel suppliers (interact with Treasury) as applicable(ex. TMC, Car rental, Taxi & Hotels) – to deliver savings & service improvements
• Consolidation/reduction of vendors and spend that adhere to company policy
• Monitor and increaseusage of preferred supplier programs through communication and training
• Collaborate and influence:
- Finance : to standardize invoicing from Travel suppliers
- Purchasing : to set up corporate suppliers in vendor systems
- Security : to support implementation of Travel agencies to ISOS
- HR – to train employees on Travel policy & booking procedures
- Regular communication and updates to travelers
- Ensure travel policy is followed
• Manage additional ad hoc responsibilities/projects as they occur
Job Requirements:
• Technical Skills - Ability to use business systems effectively. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, QAD, SAP, SRM. Ability to perform routine data analysis. Ability to perform process flow analysis
• Minimum 3-4 Years of Progressive Purchasing Experience or Equivalent Business Experience; Bachelor’s Degree Business in Preferred or Equivalent Business Experience
• Communication Skills - Able to communicate effectively in a variety of situations ranging from one-on-one sessions to larger team meetingsacross some levels of supplier and YF organizations
• Decision Making - Able to make routine decisions independently and present action plans for non-routine problem situations
• Business Acumen - Able to develop relationships and negotiate agreements
• Continuous program improvement; identifying areas of opportunities
• Worked inan international environment with exposure to different cultures
• Result orientated working – ability to set goals with company objectives
