Senior Buyer – Raw Materials & Procurement Finance

In this highly visible role based in our Ewing, NJ Global Headquarters, the Senior Buyer is responsible for portfolio management and procurement finance activities for raw materials. This person will work collaboratively with the Procurement team to manage RFP, RFQ and RFI sourcing activities and category research, while also leading all procurement finance activity including price analysis and PPV review. This position will report to the Senior Manager for Fabric Care & Surface Cleaners. Responsibilities + Manage and support sourcing activity and supply of materials used in the manufacturing of brands such as Arm & Hammer, OxiClean, Scent Boosters, Liquid Laundry Detergent, etc. + Lead project management efforts for stategic sourcing events and raw material supply implementation + Lead raw material sourcing and project meetings, including ownership of sourcing calendar + Lead raw material price management efforts, including price tracking and analysis + Facilitate timely purchase price variance analysis with Operations Finance and Procurement teams + Manage and execute all steps of the strategic sourcing process including developing RFPs, negotiating with suppliers, conducting bid analysis, and making supplier recommendations + Support supplier selection, meeting criteria such as assurance of supply, service, cost, quality, regulatory compliance and responsible sourcing + Support and execute strategic initiatives within assigned categories to drive maximum cost savings, supply assurance and value creation for the organization + Partner closely with key stakeholder teams to understand critical business needs and support development of sourcing strategies to deliver results meeting these objectives + Support the development of specific category strategies for the assigned spend categories, including market research/benchmarks, milestones, savings targets, resource requirements, and implementation plans + Write and distribute complex and technical bid invitations or requests for proposals; receive and analyze bids, quotes, and proposals. Award business and execute contracts + Support routine supplier business reviews, evaluating supplier performance and compliance + Collaborate with Corporate R&D and Marketing teams on product launches and transitions + Negotiate payment term extensions in support of company’s cash flow initiatives + Complete accurate and timely SAP master data updates Competencies/Skills + Skilled in field of Procurement and/or Supply Chain with strong understanding of Procurement practices and procedures + Financial background (plus), strong with numbers (required) + Strong analytical and quantitative skills (i.e. MS Excel based analysis) + Excels in data analysis + Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills required + Strong business partnering, communication skills and strong process focus + Skilled in preparing and analyzing complex technical specifications and bids + High degree of motivation, demonstrated ability to prioritize and self-direct Qualifications/Experience Education: + Bachelor’s degree in related field (required) + MBA (plus) + CPIM, CSCP or CPM certification (plus) Experience: + 3-5 years Procurement and/or Supply Chain experience Proficiency: + ERP/P2P systems: SAP (preferred), Oracle + Digital Procurement Systems: Ariba, GEP Smart (Preferred) + MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word + Power BI Church & Dwight is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities.For more information on our company, our brands and our culture visit us at http://www.churchdwight.com/
