Basic Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferably bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, supply chain or engineeringStrong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple large projects and interact with all organization levelsAbility to read and interpret shop floor routers, technical drawings, and blueprintsComfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing prioritiesExcellent negotiation skills with focus on cost reduction with demonstrated resultsAbility to perform should costingFamiliar with standard cost/variable cost analysisExperience with procuring low volume, high mix, engineered MTO mechanical partsSolid understanding of common manufacturing processes and machines including mills, lathes, forgings, castings, heat treatment, coatings, etc.Demonstrated ability to manage and reduce inventory, single source risk mitigation, pay terms extension and year over year cost reductionAnalytically oriented and able to effectively problem solve and deliver on objectivesStrong proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and related computer skills

Additional Requirements:

Must be able to work on site in Torrance, California. Remote work not considered.Must be able to travel up to 15% locally and domesticallyMust be comfortable with shop floor conditions and at times locating work orders and/or parts

Benefits/Salary:

The position includes competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance (medical, dental, vision), excellent 401k matching program, paid holidays and vacation. The salary range for this position is $85K to $125K.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Manage sourcing and buying activities across a range of commodities including machined components, outside processes (e.g. heat treat, coatings, etc.), forgings, castings, and other semi-finished productsInterpret engineering drawings and technical specifications to align sourcing activities with suppliers possessing the optimal capabilities, ensuring manufacturability, quality, and cost efficiencyReconcile invoice and payment problems and drive root cause solutionsIdentify and implement cost reduction activities and streamlining processesResponsible for ensuring continuity of supplies and services required to maintain continuous operationWeighing appropriate risk factors when making buy/supply decisionsMaintain compliance within company standards and support internal compliance and audits Implement corrective actions generated by audits
