Responsibilities:
Gather and analyze market intelligence to inform procurement strategies and optimize purchasing decisions.Identify and establish relationships with new suppliers to diversify and strengthen the supply chain.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to evaluate supply chain opportunities and develop comprehensive procurement plans supporting operational goals.Review specifications, scopes of work, and descriptions, making recommendations to enhance efficiency and streamline processes.Assess bid submissions for compliance, prepare detailed bid summaries, and create evaluation spreadsheets.Obtain and assess quotes, negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive terms, and oversee sourcing, ordering, and expediting processes.Manage and maintain open purchase order reports, ensuring timely closure and resolution.Review and process requirement requisitions accurately and efficiently.Lead meetings with suppliers to coordinate procurement planning and resolve issues as they arise.Be available for scheduled on-call support as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
At least 7 years of experience in a procurement role, demonstrating a strong foundation in sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management.Designation such as SCMP or a bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.Proficiency in ERP systems, with experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 considered a significant asset.Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to use these tools to analyze data and improve workflow efficiency.Exceptional attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and adept at prioritizing tasks in a dynamic environment.Strong organizational skills, a logical and methodical approach, and capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.Self-motivated with a collaborative, positive attitude, and a commitment to contributing as a productive team member.Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.
