Procurement Manager

Your role and responsibilities

Early involvement of responsible BU/Dept/LC- Deeply involved in the proposal phase of a project when the win possibility is over 80%- Early involved in any material/service related activities when a customer contract is signed, including project meetings, project planning, suppliers selecting, etc.- Involve VAVE project and to be key member to provide support from sourcing side Procurement Plan- Create and update procurement plans according to the pre-cal of a project, to specify main commodities, budget and candidate suppliers- Define the complete sourcing strategy for the related commodities with teamMonitor purchasing process compliance- Make sure the process is in compliance with company’s policy- Joint decision of supplier selection, between project team and SCM sourcing team, even engineering team, others- Lead the regional commodity strategy development activity with Global SCM and lead center project team’s support.- Maintain the key supplier’s base for the dedicated commodity and product group. - Maintenance about Project purchasing data, especially for SCM Database- PO control, including material following up, emergency handling on time, trouble shooting for quality issue, etc.Supplier Management & Development- Build a good relationship with key suppliers by building long-term cooperation- Develop potential suppliers to meet the requirements of projects as well as the commodity strategy- Define the agreement with key suppliers according to the sourcing strategyCommercial Negotiation- Lead commercial negotiation with suppliers and make joint purchase decision with the project team.- Coordination between: PM/SCM/Quality/Engineering/SuppliersOther support- Support other tasks from SCM manager if necessary

Qualifications for the role

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or others related.Minimum 8 years of mechanical or electrical product purchasing/sourcing experience related to projects.2 years+ supervisor or management position experience is preferredKnowledge of product development processes Techniques, experienced as design engineer and quality engineer a plusExperience with international terms of trade and payment Experience with ISO standards and quality certification processes Strong project purchasing management and problem-solving skillsExcellent English skills (spoken and written), and French/German skill is a plus“Integrity” is highly desirable while dealing with people within the organization and suppliersGood influencing and presenting skill
